I used to work for LJS's a month ago.I worked there for two weeks. I was to be paid on 5/12/08 a Wednesday. i had to leave for Ohio abruptly on Sat. May the 8th.I gave them a forwarding address and she posted it on the board. I expected the check by at least the following Tuesday.When it didn't arrive by that Thursday I called to confirm that it was sent. Annie, the supervisor, said she was on her way to mail it just as we spoke.When it didn't show up on Tuesday I called again and Annie assured me that the check had been sent.If it didn't arrive by at;least the following Monday then she would call corporate and have a new check cut because the post office must have lost it if it didn't make it.So I wait.The Following Tuesday I get another manager on the phone and she tells me that she found my check in an envelope without a stamp on it.And that she gave it to Annie who took it to the mail box right away.This is the following Monday June 17th.I called again and Annie answered the phone.She pretended not to hear me as I was Identifying myself and hung up.I call back and the other manager, same as above Angela, answered I told her who I was. She took the phone away from herself and began laughing amongst others and proceeded to hang up on me.I call back, no answer!
