didn't take a loan out and they still took funds from my account!
I was considerig taking out a loan with this company however didn't go through with it. They went and took money from my account anyway without even giving me a loan! I was making payments for a loan I didn't even take out. When I rang tehm, after over an hour of waiting, the woman gave me an email address to contact and said i'd get a refund-the email address was invalid. So i went on the website and found an alternative address and emailed them. I still haven't heard anything after 3 days. Will have to try and ring them tomorrow. How could they take money out of my account when UI didn't even take out a loan??

Taking money from account without providing a service
Hi everyone,
I have read through all the comments made about this company and share both your annoyance and also the financial loss through using this company.
I too decided that I wanted to take up a payday loan. The adverts for these companies on TV made it look so easy and I wanted to book a holiday before I got paid in order to secure the good deal I had found.
I am not a single mother or a pensioner and I earn very good money working in the City, London. I simply thought that this was an interesting concept and would save me having to put it on my credit card or dip into my savings. This was my first mistake. My second mistake was to apply online through www.loanfinder.co.uk.
I can't exactly remember how I ended up on their site, but I'm pretty sure I did not originally apply for a loan through them. I can only assume that when applying with one company, they simply redirected me to Loanfinder who could then carry on the application.
Like most of you, I filled in the requested information - including bank details because I believed this was needed to firstly pay the money into my account, and then secondly take the fee for the service once the loan was repaid. They even ask when my payday is in order to make sure that the funds would be available to withdraw.
Looking at their website again, it does say that they charge a fee, however this is after they have arranged a loan on my behalf, and would be taken a month after they have done this for me.
They phoned almost immediately and started to ask more questions. They said that they had found a partner who could give me the loan (a paltry £250 and not exactly a fortune) and that in order to progress, I would have to pay the fee and then take up their loan offer. At this point I realised that they wanted to me to pay a fee which was on top of any fee I would have to pay for the short term loan. At this juncture I decided that I would not take up their offer and asked that we terminate our relations and that all of my personal information was removed from their systems.
They assured me that this would be done, and I believed that this was the end of the matter. I have since checked my online bank account to find that £29.78 has been deducted from my account and that a direct debit has been set up between myself and this company.
When I phoned they said that this was because I had agreed to a loan they had found and that this was their fee. This would be fine if I had taken up the loan. But I did not. The girl I spoke with today tried to argue her point, but finally said that I could write to their head office and request a refund. This would be processed, minus a £5 administration fee.
I sent this today and await a response. I have an ace up my sleeve, which is that I recorded our initial telephone conversation and all subsequent calls. If I do not get the refund in full (and without deductions) I will be taking the matter forward to the police as this is criminal activity. Further more, I asked for all my details to be deleted from their system (which hasn't been done) and so therefore they are in breech of the data protection act as well.
My advice to anyone out there about to use this company: Don't. Come and see me- i'll give you a loan out of my own pocket rather than see anyone else get ripped off by this unscrupulous company. If for any reason you are already using their services, or anyone similar - record all calls. This will help you not only get a refund but ultimately help to serve these companies with unlimited fines and possible jail terms for the company execs.
I hope my experience will serve as a reminder that there are still companies out there who do not give a damn who they hurt or what their reputation is. I honestly can't see how anyone who works for them can go home with a clear concience at night.
Regards
Andy

disapointing service
I have asked for this company to find me a loan, they have all my personal details plus things they need to know like i dont have a gaurantor yet every loan provider they have offered so far needs a gaurantor, secondly they know i want to borrow a thousand pounds yet they keep finding providers who will lend me £50 to £500 pounds, also i complained about the apr as they were informed of a suitable apr i would stretch to and refused 2 loans because the apr was too high the apr was 199% so they then offered a loan with 254% apr. They expect me to pay £44 for this service to find me a loan when infact they cant do what they say they will and they lied and told me their fee was the only fee i'd pay yet all their lenders want to charge upfront fees too, so be very careful when dealing with this company if you do, i am not satisfied with their lieing and incompitance to do the job they say they will do so i am going to cancel their payment as they dont carry out what they say they will do .
