This company took a fee of 29.99 from my account without authorization
This company took a fee of 29.99 from my account without authorization. The company had stated that after they find a suitable loan for me and I am in receipt of the funds they would take a fee. I have not got a loan or any paperwork from them and they did not have my permisson to take this mona from my account. I would like it refunded or I will take legal action. These companies are a con and function by means ofraud they should be stopped as the people they take money from are already in bad financial situations so instead of helping they make matters worse!

Ripping of my disabled daughter
I have an 18 year old daughter who suffers from autistic spectrum disorter and she is unable to fill out forms because of her poor understanding, reading and spelling abilities. She happen to hell me that her online banking was showing she was overdrawn by £14+ and she didn't understand why. At first I thought she had somehow used her debit card which had enabled her to become overdrawn in someway.
After looking at her account it was actually bank charges which had made her overdrawn so I asked her to show me any bank letters she may have received. She is not very good at reading and just files her bank statements and letter so she showed me 2 bank letters she had received because she had not enough funds in her account to pay 2 direct debits for Loanfinder uk and Credit Xtra.
I was absolutely horrified and questioned her at length asking if she had attempted to get any loans and she didn't even know what I was talking about. She may be 18yrs old now but she cannot even spell her own address never mind filling in an online form!
I spent ages trying to get through to her bank who put an instant stop on any more direct debits but advised us to go into our local branch and open a new bank account, which we did. But the bank cancelled her debit card and are re-issueing her with a new one with a new pin number but could not give us an appointment for a couple of weeks time to get her a new bank account. They did however give us the telephone number of the company which happens to cover both the direct debit attempts from her account. They did reimburse her overdraft charges as well.
I phoned the company but it was an automated service and could not get through to anybody and so found an online email address and did eventually get through to somebody who did phone me. He told me that somebody had filled an online form in for a loan and that the charges made to the account where for there services for searching for a loan - they were actually very helpful when I explained about my daughter's special needs. He said they would not pursue her account for any more charges.
We still are proceeding with changing my daughters bank account which I'm fuming about the length of time this is taking and am still unsure whether somebody has filled some kind of online form and given her bank details because how else could they have got them because it only takes somebody to look at the details on her debit card to use these details to do something like this. There should be some system that stops company's having access to bank accounts through direct debits without the bank owners consent!!!

refund
£29.78 was taken out of my account without authorisation, I had enquired about a loan on 2nd september 2010 but they failed to find me one so I emailed them and they confirmed I wouldn't have to pay any fees. The money was taken out on 6th october.
I emailed them several times over a space of 2 days without a response, but after reading on here to mention about the economic crime unit and "unauthorised and fruadalent use of bank card" I sent another.
I got a response within 3 hours.
"Hi Kate,
Thanks for your email and I'm sorry to hear about your experience.
I'm quite concerned that you say you didn't authorise the transaction that was paid. We received an online application with details matching yours on 02/09/10 at 13.37pm and the fee for the Loanfinder service was set up to be paid on 24/09/10.
I will gladly issue you a full and immediate refund of the fee you paid and can confirm that you should see the money in your bank account within 5 - 10 working days, depending on how long your bank or building society take to process it. I have also cancelled all further payments to us.
If you do believe you have been a victim of fraud I strongly advise you to contact your local Police and bank immediately. We will be more than happy to liaise with them and provide any information required for their investigations, to get your case resolved as quickly and smoothly as possible.
This complaint is being dealt with using our Complaints Handling Procedure, which I have attached for your reference. If I don't receive a response from you within eight weeks of the date of this email I will consider the complaint closed. If you are dissatisfied with my response you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk within six months.
If I can provide you any further details on your application or our service please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Charlotte Schuller
Customer Care Team
Loanfinder"
Thanks for the advice.

Taking money from my account
I recently contacted you to help me find a loan that could consolidate my debts so i only had 1 payment to pay each month, up until now you havent found me a loan to be able to do this, but have still taken out of my bank account considerable amounts of money. As i said the reason i contacted you was to make my debts easier to manage i didnt contact you so you could make my debt worse by taking money out of my account and not then do what you told me you was going to do for me. i cannot stress to you how much more pressure this has put on me and my family due to the monies being taken out and i wish for this matter to be resolved by your company paying back every penny of the monies you have taken. if this is not done i will be taking this matter further and involving the police. hope to hear from you soon

money withdral
What a surprise, seems im not the only who has had money taken out of there account.
loanfinder, who say no charges, but low and behold in the early hours of friday 30 july 2010 they took 3 payments of £29.78 from my account.
All i did was give them my information as they said there was no charge, but after a good think about my finances, i decided not to go any further with my request of a loan and friday morning they withdrew without my permition a total of £89.34.
how on earth are they getting away with this as i cant find a phone number for them, and it looks as though my e mails to them has falling
on deaf ears.
If there is any sort of way i can get in touch with these rip off merchants or to get my money back i would be more than grateful.

TAKING MONEY WHEN I DIDNT WANT ANYTHING
A few weeks ago I was on the net looking for a loan. Every where I went I kept getting redirected to loanfinder uk. I kept closing their page down untill i got anoid and i thought I'd have a look. On the front page it says nothing about charges or broker fees. I filled in all the information and when it came to the last section asking to confirm it notes a "one off" broker fee of £47.87. N0w my partner had paid a broker fee before with someone else and got scammed, she never recieved a loan but was charged 4 or 5 times at £47.87. Remembering this I decided against going any further so i clicked cancell and closed the site down. This morning I went to get my wages and noticed I was short nearly £50. My bank account is new and I havent made any direct debits so I was very confused. So i went home and phoned the bank. They said that £47.87 had been taken by Loanfinder UK. Still confused I asked how they took it and apparantly I autherised it this morning. It looks like they where watching my account till some money went in. I told the bank I had not autherised any direct debits so they stopped it and arranged for my money to be taken back. I should get it before the end of the day. I have managed to find the website and tried to log on to it, i didnt know any of the details like username or password so I clicked forgot and entered my email, i then recieved and email back with a username and password but the site still wouldnt let me on. So they obviously had my details and just wouldnt let me see what was going on. So i left them a message on thier complaints link, basicaly saying that I never agreed to them taking money and they stole it. I informed them that my bank is taking it back and stopped the direct debit and that if any more money goes from my account i will be taking legal action. If any one would like the company address I managed to get it from my bank, it follows: Postnet Ltd, 1st floor, Grandville Chamber, Richmond Hill, Bournmouth, BH2 6BJ. I hope that more people try and do something so that they get shut down. Good luck to anyone else in the situation. PADD

thieft
i recently looked at loanfinder uk for a loan but after filling in my details i had a change of mind and decided not to go ahead with the application.not long after i noticed that my bank balance was changing to minus something pounds and didnt think much of it at the time, but as the weeks went by more money was being taken so i went to my local bank and asked what was going on and they told me that loanfinder uk was taking money out of my account for direct debts for a loan i hadnt recieved and what i didnt understand was that i dont have an overdraft but they still managed to take the money and have left me and my partner with hardly any money to live on which i am not best pleased about.I have tried looking on theirt website to get a number of some sort so that i can contact them and sort this matter out but there is nothing on there. so i am going to take this matter further and if loanfinder doesnt repay all the money they have taken over the past few weeks i will be going to the police about it and will do anything possible so that i can have my money returned back to me.
