Lobel Financial Reviews

Fraudulent contract
My husband and I went to the dealership to see if we could get a car financed. We had $4500 for a down payment and they put us into a car that I loved. They called me back to return the car because they couldn't get us financed for that car, no big deal. So we didn't see anything that we liked and asked for our deposit back so we could go elsewhere. They insisted on getting us into that car. They were finally able to get us financed with Lobel Financial. Lobel called us about a month later to verify the validity of our income documents. It was at that point that we had discovered that the dealership had made false/fraudulent pay stubs for my husband, who didn't have a job. They just made up fake pay stubs so that we would qualify to be financed through Lobel. So once we found this out from Lobel, we asked if they would let us cancel the contract and return the vehicle to the dealership since the contract was accepted based on falsified documents provided by the dealership. They told us No. The reason, because we had both ( Us & Lobel) already signed the contract so they wouldn't let us out of it. Well, this was in Nov 2010 ( we had taken possession of the vehicle in Oct 2010). I had made my scheduled payments and had fallen behind on one month in June. I had called them to make some type of payment arrangement and they were fine with the arrangement, from what they told me. The day after I called them with the payment arrangement, they repossessed the car. I wasn't even 45 days late. The repo people who came and got the car were very nice and apparently they had once been financed by Lobel, and they also had their vehicle repossessed by them, they were only 2 days late on their payment. They had also called, it seemed like everyone on the face of the earth. Even people who were not references on our application/contract were getting phone calls from them. They would apparently ask if the reference person knew how to reach us and then would just hang up. I don't think this business is very ethical in their dealings with applicants/borrowers. They wouldn't let us out of our contract, even knowing that the dealership falsified our income documents. They aren't in the financing business, they are in the business of repossession.

Want Out!
I have been Financed through Lobel Financial for not that long. things were o.k at first untill i stoped paying them around 70 additional dollers for Insurance they were providing me, that was not even what the law required. so when i got a ticket for no insurance i stopped sending in the additional 70 dollers with my regular payment.i explained this to one of the reps and i told him no one i ever spoke to explained this to me. as if they did i woulda got my own insurance since day one. i keep records of all my payments and told him as far as i knew i was up to date with my payments. he started calling a few days later saying my car was going to get repoed if i didnt febuarys insurance fee. i told him i had my own insurance to check my Records. he then told me we would figure it out and i had till Monday. well, sunday my car was repoed! i then had to pay all these extra fees and got nothing but very bad Rude customer service! i was calling and calling to make arrangements cause i needed my car for work, and got nothing but the run arround. i was being transfered from one rep to another like i was nobody, i then got soo fusterated and made a comlaint! by this time i hade been on hold for about an hour and a half. i was so upset by the time i got a supposidly "manager" i was crying and so stressed. every single person i talked to was very Rude, and very un professional! i got my car back, but now its like has soon has im a few days late they start calling everyone before they actually call me! they speak to me as if im a child, i know they are collectors and understand that. but they dont need to act the way they do. i am not surprised there are other complains against them. i know now for sure i was right how i felt about them, im glad im not alone. now my car is giving me probloms, on top of that have a payment i need to pay, and im just ready to file bankruptsy because i do not want to deal with them!!

Repo
WARNING TELL EVERYONE DON"T DO BUSINESS WITH LOBEL FINANCIAL. THEY ARE EVIL PEOPLE. The company Lobel Financial takes away your rights as a consumer. They make up lies and continue to twist them, to make it your fault. They feel they are always in the right, and that no one can touch them. They told me that I stole my car after sending a change of address as a P.O.Box as my new address. They said you don't live in a box. I sent a P.O.Box only because of construction work in my apartment. I got moved to another apartment temporiarly. I sent them my insurance information with my physical address using my family member address. They took my car because I live in a P.O.Box. If I did live in a P.O. Box how did you know where my physical address was unless you received my proof of insurance card.
This is an evil company, and not only are they hurting the consumer, they are also ripping off dealers who try to do business with them. I hope someone who can investigate this company and catch them! Bring this corporation down!. They should have no creditability whatsoever for anything that they say or do. Don't let them entice you into believing they are here to help you. They are here to ruin your life.

Repo
I have an 36 month contract with lobel. March 2011 is my final payment, they took my car March 26. I called the police and thought it was stolen, but they have that it was repossed. I couldn't get a hold of anyone till Sunday at 5pm. Well Sunday morning came and I got a call from Lobel's collections department. Saying I hadn't made my Feb payment..umm yeah I did I distinctly remember making it, as I was working down the street from the local office! I told the guy (Raul) I can make the payment now, we set it up to be deducted and when he asked "Anything else?" I replied " Yeah where do I get my car?" Raul had no idea my car was taken. How can your collections department not know it was repossed? He advised me to call Monday and have a good day. I ended up calling the customer service line Sunday night at 630pm (they are supposedly open 5pm-9pm) I was holding for 2 1/2 hours with the same message" you are begin transfered to a voicemail box, unfortunately the voicemail box is full, your being transfered to an agent" was all I heard for 2 1/2 hours..where are your reps? This company plays by its own rules, they don't follow proper channels, i worked for a finance company and I know how it works you can't just take a car you need to have at lease 60 days of attempted contact in all form of communication. i am not sure how they stay in business they are an unethical company and should be reported to the BBB and any other organization that will listen and get them to change their ways. Never again will I do business with Lobel I'd rather take the bus!!

I had no idea that lobel financial was so awful
I had no idea that lobel financial was so awful. From the time that I brought my car I have ran into some money issues and I have spoken with vast of their reps, I am always 1 month behind last time I paid my car note, I was told that, I could get an extension and after I paid it they told me that they don’t grant extension for hardship after I posted my payment, they call my job even when I tell them that I will be in to pay on my account we make an agreement and they still call, my job is tired of their calls where now they tell them that I was transfer out to a different location so they can stop calling.

Is there anything that can be done. If you ever need a car and have bad credit like I do just go to drive time. I hear they are way better I wished I would of went with them instead of lobel financial.

illegal repo
I made my payment over the phone on 2/9 with a agent who was very rude. So rude I complained to her manager. I called on 2/25 because the payment had not cleared my account. I spoke to the same manager who I made the complaint with and she told me everything was fine and they had my payment. That following Monday they reposed my car saying they got my payment back. Apparently they tried to take the payment from a old account. The fact that I called them Friday them and said there was a problem because it hadn't cleared yet wasn't good enough and didn't send up any flags to anyone. No one thought to check the account they didn't call me on monday instead they just picked up my car? So the money is sitting in my account and now they have my car. If I wasn't trying to pay them I would be really upset but I have the money I was trying to make my payment. Now I have been calling for 2 days to trying to get my car back and no one is aviable

past 30 day summons
I have had a similar situation with Lobel. I made payments on time, even paid $40 extra each month. I was originally told my finance payment plan was to last 18months. In no way was that true after all their fees.
In May i was hit by a car while riding my bicycle on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Being a commissioned sales person, and recently injured I notified them of my situation and asked if they could work out some sort of arrangement. The customer service staff was very rude and basically told me to pay what i owed them or I would be in worse shape then being layed up in the hospital. I only had the car for 16months and had so many mechanical issues. After paying for several repairs to keep the car running and by spending time in the hospital i was behind on my payment by 23 days, they repossed my car without any remorse. I again tried to work another arrangement out and they again basically told me to shove it. I got a summons stating I had 30 calendar days to file a response. All because of a bad few months my financial life is ruined now. I have obtained a bankruptcy lawyer to help with this matter. The 30days have passed and I am concerned they are going to garnish my wages or my bank account, can they do this even though i am filing for a BK? Do i need to pull all my money out of my bank ASAP?

payment agreement
I decided after a couple years of having bad credit that it was time to start to rebuild. I bought a car from a dealer in Banning and I had a large down payment. Lobel accepted my loan and from the very moment I started I had a perfect payment history with them. I do have to say they did try the insurance thing with me too but I faxed my info over and then that was fixed. I had some difficulty with my payment that was due on Christmas 2010. I sent in the payment but the check had bounced. I called and made an agreement with Rita as soon as I received the letter and she said she noted the account. I made the payment as well as the one that became due, my car was repossessed anyway. I just got off the phone with them and proved to them I had made the payments and they are informing me that I have to pay an extra 361 dollars for repo fees before they will give me the info to pick up my car. They told me that anything that was noted on my account by Rita didn't matter and that her manager Celeste can do what she wants. My suggestion to anyone is DO NOT FINANCE ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They do dirty business. Everything that people have posted is turning out to be true. I Pray that they will be stopped.

Illegal Repossesion
I purchased a car, and was assigned to Lebel Financial. I started making payments, and would always send an extra$50 on my bill. As time passed, we ran into a financial bind, and we were behind 1 payment. I call the customer service dept, and they were willing to allow me to catch up. I still made my monthly payment on time, and would send the extra $50 to offset the payment I was behind. I call them on Tues to ask for my balance, which is $1000. I told them I would call them back next week to make a payment over the phone, as I always did. My husband and I were going to decide to pay off the loan, or just send$500. Now, I still have time to make my regular monthly payment ($274 per month due on the 14th of the month). So when I called it was the 11th. Anyway, tell me why the repo man came to my house on Sunday at 1:30 am to take my car? I'm so mad! The girls that work in the office are very rude and insensitive. They told me o'well, thats what happens when you don't pay your bill. Are they serious?! They wouldn't even let me please my case. They basically took my car for being behind 1 payment of$250. Now I have to pay all these fees. Do they really need my little $300 in repo fees? I feel my car should not of been repossed. There shady, and very very rude! plus, you have to leave a voicemail to speak to a manager!!!

illegal reposession of my car
I was given Lobel Financial through a dealership I had used before and previously had small problems with but trusted them with their loan department. I was in a car accident December 15th where another vehicle crashed into me and ruined my car. Lobel Financial went to my car at the tow yard, after the claim had started from the accident and stole my vehicle. They used documents illegal and falsified, lied to police stating they had a right to take my vehicle knowing the could not, they credited my account 12-6 and stole it 12-22. Mysteriously they gave it back to my insurance after I threatened police. THEY ARE CROOKED ROTTEN people and have class action law suites already but continue to act this way so now I am starting another suit. I paid them their money they had my account all updated, receipt in hand with me and yet they can go steal my car, re damage it by towing it when my insurance and myself are getting damage appraised, any additional damage they will pay for as well as stealing my property and filing false papers with the intent to mislead the police to obtain my vehicle. Again, I JUST started with them 11-2010, had 1 payment, paid it, but they took it from a tow yard? They are criminals and I already have the ball rolling on this one, they messed with the wrong person. I never miss a payment. Last loan co I had, I had for almost 2 years and was the reason my credit was so much better and then these losers take what I paid for, including $1, 400 cash down on it, $331 car payment, and TAKE it from a tow yard after an accident which I was not at fault. The car will be repaired and I will have the last word on this one. Anyone you know of that has had legal issues with Lobel Financial in Arizona or California, let me know.
