Absolutely awful eBay seller, going by the name on eBay as "lobsdiver1" (and supposedly 15 other eBay seller accounts), from a customer service and ethical perspective. Cindy L. Bursey is the individual who is the beneficiary of admittedly over $250, 000 annually in eBay sales.<br />

While she has been accused by some of being unethical, from her perspective she simply chooses to not leave feedback for eBay Buyers, that way she's the recipient of feedback alone. By her own written statement, she says that feedback for Buyers is useless. Rather, this is the basis for the entire eBay and PayPal structure. Both entities only exist because the public has placed their trust in these institutions. <br />

The entire trust system is what the feedback process is all about. This is the method chosen by eBay by which both Buyers and Sellers can review feedback left by and for others so that risks of loss are minimized. Therefore the casual and erroneous statement as to whether feedback for Buyers is useless, I feel it's the exact opposite. So do plenty of people using both eBay and PayPal.<br />

Without trust, eBay cannot exist, nor can PayPal. So, it appears that Ms. Cindy Bursey selectively chooses to quite literally bite the hands which feed her. When she's contacted regarding problems, she rarely responds, even though this is stated as a condition of maintaining a Seller account on eBay.<br />

I politely asked if she could please leave feedback for me, as I had done for her. I made this request in writing three times, over a period of 7 weeks, through eBay. The fourth time, after zero response, I send one final notification before filing a report with eBay. I then examine Cindy's eBay seller account, lobsdiver1, and find that in the last 6 months, she has received 295 feedback responses, and in that same time left ONE!!! I then receive a hostile e-mail from Cindy Bursey, which as I always recall was out of place for a proprietor of a business to their customer. I further discovered that others have had the same dealings with this individual through eBay.<br />

I bring all of this to the attention of eBay, and they are currently investigating her account, after learning of her one-sided feedbacks. Additionally, she then chose to threaten me in writing to leave negative feedback or other things, which she cannot do.<br />
<br />
Let's see, as a customer, my responsibility is to pay for and take delivery of my item from the seller. As an added responsibility, on eBay a seller leaves feedback for the Seller. On the part of the Seller, once they received payment and shipping instructions from the Buyer, they should consider it a favorable transaction which is deserving of positive Buyer feedback. In fact, many reputable eBay sellers do this automatically upon receipt of payment. This is the ethical thing to do as a business person.<br />

Here's what Cindy Bursey replied with, misspellings and all, in one of her first responses to me:<br />

"get a life! as soon a i can leave the feedback i want to leave, i will leave it, but until then all i can leave is a positive it is a waste of time. FEEDBACK IS WORTHLESS UNLESS YOU ARE A SELLER. I AM NOT WASTING MY TIME SAYING YOU ARE A WONDERFUL BUYER BECAUSE THAT WOULD NOT CORRECT."<br />

Hmm, let's see, I was a Buyer of one of her products, I paid her promptly and provided my shipping information, then leaving positive feedback upon receipt of item. Doesn't that constitute a wonderful Buyer for a Seller on eBay? According to eBay that's the criteria, and millions of others around the world.<br />

Later, Cindy went on through a barrage of additional e-mails through eBay to state such things as:<br />

"Ps ebay never gives out personal information about accounts which just further more makes my point you have NO CLUE what you are talking about!"<br />
<br />
Really? Then how did I know your phone number listed with eBay is disconnected, and obtain your name? I think someone (Cindy) should check their sources!<br />
<br />
All-in-all, Cindy and RCMC appear to be running about 15 different seller accounts on eBay, which she stated to me amount to about $250, 000 in sales annually. <br />
<br />
Here's what it comes down to, from what I've learned of the criteria for choosing to deal with Cindy Bursey:<br />

* If you want to deal with a very RUDE business person who acts like the "soup nazi" on Seinfeld...<br />
* If you want to be treated like it is a privilege to work with Cindy Bursey and then get abused...<br />
* If you want someone who tends to ignore any forms of communication, even in an attempt to gain resolution for transaction problems...<br />
* If you want to suffer through disparaging comments and lies...<br />
<br />
Then Cindy Bursey is the business person for you!!!
