This company called me offering "google placement" for my small business. This services takes 3 months to set up which is "free". You give them a list of keywords you would like to be listed under. This is where it all goes downhill from. They email back with some other "strong categories for your business". Their suggestions are irrelevant to your business, but this where they get you, they offer a money back offer if they cant place you in the a-g google listing. I emailed them back telling them I did not want the offered keywords only my own and would like to cancel if they couldn't provide the service. This is when I spoke with the customer service rep Nancy who assured me they would make me happy. To make a long story short I asked to be placed as an electrician and was placed as a "credit card electrician" and after numerous hours of arguing managed to get half of my $600 deposit back. I was told the my back offer is only if you weren't placed. I asked "if I was placed as a circus clown I would loose my deposit?" and was told "some advertising plans just don't work out, you should be happy with half back or we can go to court and have countless lawyers at our hands". As a small business starting up this was a big loss hope my experience can save someone else.
