I have had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Sedgwick CMS (Claims Management Services). My claims of short term disability are being denied. They have done everything in the book to avoid getting complete and accurate information from my physicians. They used a statement to deny benefits even though they approved my benefits for approximately one month under the same terms and conditions. They list themselves under Lexington, KY, but the office is actually in Illinois and main office is in Memphis, TN...On the first appeal they attempted to supposedly cover themselves by using independant physicians to review. I ask how independant can they truely be. I feel that they should be under review by the board of professional regulations in each of the states in which they hold an office. They are by the sounds of other complaints on this site a travesty to the health and well being of patients needing any type of ST/LT Disability or other needs.
