I contacted this organization back in January 2009 about a mortgage modification. I was sent a package of papers to fill out and return, which I did by 1/9/09. Also on 1/7/09 I sent payment for services of $1650.00 to Bob Andrews of The Loan Midification Group, which I was told is fully refundable if services not rendered.
I was told it would take 60-120 days for results. Time went by and I would call periodically to check on things and was told it was in the workings. Then on February 3, I found out that my file was stagnant because it didn't have enough information, yet no one called to tell me this. So on that day I faxed the added info they needed. More time had past and they were working on it and waiting for the lender. During all this time no one ever called me to keep me updated, I was always the caller. Then on April 6 2009, I was sent another package of papers from Coral, they were the same papers that I filled out in January and was given a story on how so much time has pasted and now they need new papers according to the federal government. Again no one called me to let me know that the papers had arrived, I had to call them. I was told that they had been sent to their 'sister' company and were working on them. I asked for my money back and was told that because they had worked on them I wasn't going to get it back.
This past week, I have called every day and have been greeted by a receptionist, she claims that there is no one in the office and they are at meetings and at at the 'other' office. She refuses to give me the phone number or address of this 'other' office.
I'm having problems with my mortgage, not because I bit off more than I can chew, I had surgery that went bad and almost lost my life. Thereby I lost the ability to maintain a job and income. I am currently waiting for my disability case to be heard in court, has been almost 2 years since the beginning of my disability problems.
It is a shame that a company like Loan Modification Group, Daniel H. Fox, esquire take advantage of people who are down and out and truely need assistance. How can they sleep at night knowing what they are doing?
