I was just reading some of the recent complaints about the Loss Prevention Officer named Josh. So, that;s his name. Thanks for putting this out to all of us hard working customers. I was shopping at the Saint Louis Galleria Gap on 1/17/2011 which was a Mon. I was there for my 30 min dinner break to take advantage of the store promotion. I work nearby the mall from m-f 11:00-7:00 so i had to dash over there. Let's see, my meal was from 2:00-2:30 and it was the longest meal ever. I had an ordeal with the Loss Prevention man which caused me to be late returning to work and I didn't want to tell my boss it was because I was accused of stealing. That;s right, accused. I was walking around the Women Section and found a sweather that I was looking at the weekend before so I knew what I wanted. I guess that Josh saw me walk by to sweather pile and when I quickly picked it up he must have thought that I was going to steal it? So, I went into the fitting room and put it on and then came out wearing it to look for another size and there he was watching at me, walk back n forth. It was a bit nerve racking but that wasn't the worste part. I went over to the Lengerie section and while I was looking at bras I could see him looking er rather, peaking around the corner to see what all I was looking at. I am 24 and attractive and guess that he wanted to see what he probably couldn't get on the side! I'd say LoL but there was nothing to really laugh about. So, I went into the changingroom and tested the bras out and he waited outside while pretending to use his cell phone. I knw due to the fact that i looked out of my room door a couple of times and there was the same guy. I was so fritgened! I had no idea who this guy was (at the time). So, then I left everything but 1 bra and the sweather in the room and went up to the register to pay with my hard earned cash! When I left the store, he followed me into Gap Kids but I quickly went through to the otehr dooor and left the store before he could see I was gone. So, I looked at the number on my purchase receipt and called the store. When I talked with the sale girl and explained that some guy who is White, militrary like dark hair, glasses and ... she cut me off and said, oh that is just our Loss Prevention Officer. WTF! After reading these other complaints, it sounds like because I am black, and regardless that I am suphoisticated and an execuitive at my firm. I guess like the DJ said, he just took the bulls by the horn and went after me because he saw black like a bull sees red but what he should have saw was a living and breathing person!
