My husband & I, we strongly believe a group that includes people in Moscow, Russia & Brooklyn, NY has defrauded us.

We were given a name of Luisa Nikonenko (aka Dell, a president of Lotus (Lotos) Victory, a company in Brooklyn, NY), by a person in Moscow, Nugzar Sralidze, who we trusted. We contacted Luisa at the request of the above person. Among other conversation, she mentioned that her company also a dealer of Nokia cell phones & we agreed on the shipment of the cell phones to be delivered to Republic of Georgia.

Ms. Nikonenko-Dell sent us a commercial invoice promising to ship the phones out within 5 days, & we made a transfer of $16, 510 from our private account of Star One Credit Union (the only money we had saved) to help a friend in Georgia, who owns a small electronics retail business there.
The transfer was made on 3/28/08 & Ms. Nikonenko acknowledged receiving the money.

After that, she had been making various excuses about delays in shipment. We have been calling & e-mailing her constantly, & after much evasion, she e-mailed us on 4/22 that her husband made the shipment from Taiwan. She did not however provided us with shipment confirmation/tracking #, referring first to forgetfulness of her husband, then ignoring our constant phone calls & e-mail messages. In rare cases when she was answering her phone, she was saying, â??everything will be all rightâ??, & hanging up.

On 4/26, my husband wrote to Ms. Nikonenko that as it is not clear that the phones were shipped at all, we ask her to return the money, to which she again replied that we have to be â??patient & everything will be OKâ??

Meanwhile, the Moscow person started constantly getting in touch with my husband trying to calm him down, saying that the our order will be honored & we will not loose our money, making it clear that he & Ms. Nikonenko-Dell work in accord.

We have addressed them both several times during the week of 4/28 that we want our money to be returned by 5/5, but there were again evasive & untruthful.

On 5/5, we e-mailed them again saying should not the money will be returned to us the same day, we would report them to US authorities. Ms Nikonenko-Dell responded via â??mail that she sent her representative to the factory to speed up the order (the same one she already confirmed in writing was shipped on 4/22) & should the shipment no be made till the end of the week, the money will be returned to us.
Since then, we've calling & e-mailing Ms. Nikonenko constantly; she has promised several times to return the money, but as of today, May 27, 2008 she did not do that
