My husband and I bought a Samsung Refrigerator 3 years ago from Lowe's . I love the refrigerator until March 2010. The freezer section froze up and to be defrosted manually. I called Rick's Appliance, a local repair company. The service tech came out and told the door to the freezer wasn't closed all the way and the freezer froze up, plus the icemaker ceased to make any ice. Also, I would see water under the frig at times and I would just clean it up thinking someone has dropped an ice cube.
Two weeks after I manually defrosted the frig, I find water under the frig and on the floor again. I called the service tech and he came out and took the back off the freezer from the inside and thawed the water drain. This is quite a feat to perform this function. The door and the 2 freezer baskets had to come out to repair this drain. Today March 30 I find water under the frig and on the floor. This constant water is annoying and my laminate flooring will be ruined with this constant water standing on it. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have an old Amana refrigerator (20 yrs old) that still works like a jewel. We bought this Samsung because it was bigger. I'm sorry to say that we purchased this brand if it only last 3 years without repairs. I would like for someone who can help me with this problem. My next step is to contact Samsung with a phone call directly. I WILL NOT spend my hard earned money ($1400.00) for something that has to be repaired constantly.
