Terrible service
We ordered carpet on 5/30/2008, and more than one month later it is still not completed. They first got the measurement wrong, then their so-called 'rush', 'expedited' re-order takes longer than the initial order. Strange, isn't it? Unless I understand the words wrong, shouldn't a 'rush', 'expedited' order take shorter time than the normal order?
No one bothered to returned our calls even we left messages. When carpet didn't arrive on time, no one called us to explain why. The manager only contacted us twice, right after we contacted Lowe's customer care at North Wilkesboro, NC, saying he got the confirmation that the order will be 'expedited'. But contacting Lowe's customer care doesn't seem to help, either, as we still don't know when the carpet can be completed as of today (July 7th). The initial order took 2 weeks; and the 'expedited' re-order has taken 3 weeks already and still counting.
Very frustrated and very helpless. We already paid the installation and carpet, and it seems the only thing we can do is just wait. Hope no one else will suffer this terrible service with this Lowe's store.

Don't work for them
Lowe's Wheelersburg Ohio - I am a former employee of this Lowe's. Working for them was a complete and total nightmare! No training, no pay, no one can afford the health insurance and most of all the HR department ***! I simply requested a copy of my pay stubs for some legal stuff and no one there will help you and then they decide to lecture me on why I quit! Welcome to America A_HOLE. I have the right to quit any job I want. This store *** and I would not recommend anyone work for this company unless you want to be under paid, over worked, and left to fend for yourself while there!

That store has lost my business forever
What is wrong with the employees (or lack there of) in this Lowes of rock hill. going in there used to be a good thing, there were helpful people who would wait on you, and treat you right, now going in there, not only can you NOT find anyone who works there, finding someone who KNOWS anything about anything is impossible. When I used to own my own business back in the 70's, the customer always came first, and that should hold up on this day and age, but not at rock hill Lowes, that store has lost my business forever, Home Depot will get it.

Scam and fraud
A few months ago I purchased about 400SF of laminated flooring from Lowe's. I also had Lowe's install the flooring with a sub contractor. I purchased all the materials from Lowe's including concrete to level the floor. The total installation took about 4 hours. After completion, my wife noticed a bubble in the flooring. The installer told her it would settle. About 30 days later the floor started to chip and the bubble was worse., I called Lowe's and they had the contractor come look at the floor. The contractor told Lowes that we spilled a liquid on the floor and that he would have to remove about 200 sq feet.
I called Lowes and was told the warranty was void as I had spilled something... I decided to check the level of concrete used. Guess What, The concrete was unopened. ZERO used. I called Lowes again and told them the bubble was caused by an unlevel floor. He told me that maybe the laminated floor was defective and the Manufacture Rep would be out the next day. Guess What, Manufacture Rep never showed. Today I had another laminate floor installer inspect the work by Lowe's. He said it was unfortunate that the floor was not prepared properly and agreed the uneven floor caused the problem.
My new contractor levels the floor and grinds to even out bubbles. He then levels with concrete. Lowe's does not seem to care about my situation.

Excessive order
I bought slate blue siding for my house and garage. 3 years later I needed to replace 2 pieces. I was told I had to order at least 12 pieces. When I first purchased the siding, it was a stocked item. Now its special order only. Yet they have tan in several shades in stock. What gives? Plus their new checkouts suck big time. Plus try getting a semi to their docks to deliver a load. Mishawaka, Indiana is the worst.
Also I bought kitchen cabinets and now I wanted to expand and guess what, the cabinets I purchased have been discontinued. It seems everything I purchased is no longer available. oh by the way, they built a lowes store I mile from my home, and my new kitchen cabinets will be purchased from there.

Don't shop there
On Sunday June I went to Lowes in rock hill, sc, and waited 30 before anyone waited on me, so I may order some windows.
Well when I went to the cashier, in lawn and garden centre to pay for them, when she tried to pull up my project, my name came up and that was all, she said someone had not put anything in the computer. After 15 minutes of waiting to pay, and her calling back to the windows department, I left and went to home depot. Was very disappointed. It was a $700.00 sale, but no more will I shop Lowes.

Unfriendly, unhelpful staff
Once again, I walk into Lowe's, and there is a collective angst against customers. You see Lowe's workers standing around, walking around, but they won't look you in the eye, and they even walk quickly away when you walk toward them. I had to chase rude employee #3 down, and yell at him to get his attention. Then I was lead to a general area where the product was, and still had to spend a few minutes looking for what I needed. Most of the time, they sort of generally point you in the general direction, then tell you they don't know much about what you are looking for, and duck away somewhere in the back. I don't know where they get their training, but if they want to compete against giants like Home Depot, they need to learn that being there for customer needs, knowing where things are, and actually having knowledge about their product goes a long way.

I can not get any help
I purchased a washer and dryer in 12/06. I did not purchase the extended warranty. It is now broke. I called the service centre and the only number of the company that service's them can not get to me for 6 weeks. I called my local Lowe’s store westal NY and I was informed that I had no other options. This is crazy. I did not think my washer would break in that little time. I paid a lot of money for this washer. If this is the kind of service that I am getting from purchasing appliances for your company I will not be doing it again.

They don't do what they promise
Lowes said that they cut tile for customers I bought some quarter round trim to go between my wall and countertop and only needed 4 pieces cut into mitred corners. This is a very small job. After I purchased it they told me their saw was broken and sent me to another store and their saw was broken and sent me to another store and at that store no one knew how to make a mitred corner and had no idea how to mitre a corner so they of course goofed it up. The sign is very large and states that they will cut tiles for you- ha ha tomorrow I am taking all the trim back including the goofed up stuff.
