Credit Card misleading
I purchased a Troy riding mower from Lowes for $1,065 on their 12 month no payment 0% down.
I would receive a monthly statement saying I owed $0, so I began ignoring the statements as only 7 months had passed. Well i started receiving phone calls from Lowes saying I was 2 months passed due. I called them back and of course spoke to a nice Indian guy at a call center in India... He told me to go down in person to the store to sort things out. At the store I was informed the GE money holds the credit accounts and to contact them. I was informed by GE money that I made addiotional purchases and this voided the 12 month deal.
This no so pleasant cutomer service rep informed me I made those purchases and I disputed the claim still wondering how after 7 months I was being chraged finances fees and late fees?!?!?!? I received notification from GE money showing a signature which was little more than a dash for the additional purchases, a signature which was not mine. I disputed the claim but all the while I was receiving approx. 12 phone calls to my cell phone a day and another 12 to my home phone number. THis went on for weeks with harassing calls and when I would pick up there was noone there just an automated message.
Anyway, Lowes and GE money have refused to work with me and BBB and comsumer affairs have offered little or no assisance. Basically my decision to purchase this product has ruined my previously perfect credit.
Avoid Lowes at all cost...

Poor customer service!
Lowe's customer service desk in Burbank, California is terrible! The staff behind the counter need a thorough course in "Customer Service." While waiting in line at the customer service desk for 25 minutes, another mini line was started and now it was my turn to get some help from the customer service staff. But, hey... the clerk did not bother to ask for the next customer in line. Instead, the clerk took the customer who just walked in the line. As a result, everyone in line was disturbed by this.
This happens quite often at the customer service desk. Everyone at that customer service desk do not know how to handle a customer with politeness. Instead, after being helped, most clerks at the customer service desk don't smile and don't welcome you to their store or even thank you for shopping at their store. It's these kinds of staff that make customer service bad, and give the customer a second thought about not coming back to their store.

Horrible customer service & management!
My husband and I visited the Lowe's in Rancho Santa Marquerita, CA to purchase a gas grill. When we arrived we looked at the grills outside the store and then went inside and looked. We were ready to make a purchase and waited and waited and waited some more while there was a group of 4 - 5 employees near the door having a great time talking between each other. I finally went up to get one and he came reluctantly. We showed him the grill we wanted and he proceeded to enter the sale and we chose the following Friday as our delivery date. We paid at the cash register and went home.
The following Thursday I found out I could not take Friday off so I called the store to reschedule the delivery date. The young man on the phone said he would cancel it and put us in the only opening left for Saturday afternoon. A little while later we received a call from the delivery service saying they were delivering the next day. I told the caller that we had rescheduled for the Saturday. The caller said okay and hung up. On Friday evening we had not received a call about when they would deliver the next day so I called again. I was told (by the same person who I called the prior night) that we weren't on the list for Saturday deliveries. I then asked for a store manager. Another young man claiming to be an assistant manager came to the phone and said he would add us to the list the following morning before the deliveries started. I decided to call the store again a few minutes later to double check and found out we were on the list. My husband got upset that one of the two of them were lying to me so he got on the phone to ask the truth as we weren't going to stay home all day Saturday waiting on delivery. My husband did not like the attitude of the person on the phone and asked to have the sale canceled as he was going to Home Depot to buy a grill. The ass't store manager said fine, good, go to Home Depot, etc. and hung up. The next day my husband called to talk with the store manager to tell him what took place. The store manager said that the ass't store manager had never talked like that so in reality he was believing his employee over my husband, a customer. My husband told the store manager that perhaps he was learning from him as he didn't care or ask what he could do to save the sale and get the grill delivered. His attitude was give a &(*)& and that is what his assistant manager did the night before. Not once did he sincerely apologize to my husband. We are now going to take this matter up the food chain as the store manager does not know how to manage his people or to save a sale that could have been saved if he had asked what he could do and sincerely apologized.
Stay tuned as I will keep going up the chain to ensure that the honchos in the executive offices know what is going on below them.
Sincerely,
New owner of a grill purchased at HD yesterday.

waiting for merchandise
I was promised delivery of a ''fridge this morning. When I called at 11.20 a.m. to make sure the delivery team were on their way I was told that they had not left yet but "were working on it".
There are other things people have to do other than waiting for a delivery to show up.
I can't work outside because they have my land line number and insist on calling up before they deliver. I had ask for a ballpark delivery time when ordering the goods but they wouldn't be tied down; if they had even told me when deliveries begin (since this is apparently not very soon in the day) I could have done the other things I needed to do first.
Now it looks as though I might not get anything else at all done today - and I'm wondering if they will show up at all.
All they have to do is bring in our 'fridge and plug it in, maybe they will balance the legs. I have already emptied my old fridge and there are food items and one medication that need to stay refrigerated. I've moved the old fridge outside single-handedly to save them (and me) time. They just need to show up!
I've deliberately waited until 12 Noon before submitting this complaint, as their promise was, after all restricted to delivering "in the morning". Now it is Noon and they are officially in default of their promise.
Despite the hassle I believe I will be making my own deliveries. They have only to come less than six miles and charge $55 to even drop anything off!

Floor installation
Had the inside of my house painted , a very professional and expensive job. My wife decided to put new flooring in the down stair bathroom and laundry room. Went to Lowes for the flooring. the installers showed up installed the floor on the correct day. After they left I noticed the toilet was plugged in the new floor bathroom, called Lowes to let them know. They contacted the installers stating they would come back in the morning to take care of the problem.
In the mean time I shut off the water to the toilet so nobody would use it. Used the upstairs bathroom to take a shower, little did I know they dropped the old wax ring seal for the toilet down the drain. This plugged the main line all the shower water, toilet, etc. from upstairs came out the toilet and flooded not only the new flooring but my living room, den, bedroom. Thousands of dollars of damage
Lowes now wants nothing to due with me, since the installers are subcontractors To say the least, I don't think I'll be buying any more things from Lowes.

Late delivery of merchandise
We purchased a BBQ grill at Lowe's and they scheduled the delivery for yesterday morning. When it hadn't arrived by 2:00 pm, we called and were told it had been put on the 2:00 pm truck. When it hadn't arrived by 7:00 pm we called the store manager and were told it had been put on a later truck. When it didn't arrive by 10:00 pm we retired for the night. At 11:15 pm a truck drove up to our house, waking all of us, to deliver the grill. During the day, no one called to provide an update. Who delivers things at 11:15 at night? We won't be shopping at Lowe's again.

Installation services is very unprofessional!
I purchased 8oo square feet of Pergo flooring and paid to have Lowe's install it. I found out after the fact that Lowe's contracts out the installation services. The "installation team" that came to my house was very unprofessional. They did not show up on the day that they said the would. When they did finally show up they were late. They took 3 days to do a 1 day job and even then it was not complete. I had to install some of the border myself, which I was glad to do just to get these guys out of my home. Now, 2 months later, the flooring is coming up. I have a 1 year warranty on the material and installation. I have been trying to contact the install team for over a month. They have told me twice that they would come fix the flooring but have not shown up. I have contacted Lowe's and was told that I have to resolve this with the install team. I paid Lowe's, not the install team. I cannot get satisfaction from either. I may or may not get this resolved to my satisfaction. However, I will never spend another dime at Lowe's. Lowe's seems to have forgotten that Home Depot is right down the street.

We don't want to work for Lowe's much longer!
We are an Installer for Lowe’s. Lowe’s Installers are base on score of 89% or better. We have a 95%-98% overall score. We don't want to work for Lowe's much longer.
Lowe's has a rotation to make it fair for Installers to get a fair share of work from which ever store they choose to be in.
We were asked many times to do another store that was to far for us to go out to daily, it would have made us take a loss. We refused to do that store. In the end we have been pulled off rotation from most of our stores. We had enough work for 3 crews. We had to let them all go. We did about 3-5 jobs a week for the past few years to now 3-4 jobs a month.
There is one person that is really in charge hiring and who gets what store and how many jobs they do in a whole from all the stores. It should be based on your score, but it seems it not the case. The AIM (Area Install Manager) has the power to starve or give life, depending on the mood.
We stood up to the AIM; we told him we would take a loss if we went to that store. We even talked to someone in Corporate, Now Lowe's is starving us out of business. What’s (Rotation) really for? Why take your best installer out and put in installers that don't or can't do the jobs? Why do we know this? We get more jobs from stores now, that the installer cant do the job or won't that would otherwise go to us in the first time. We just ran into one that the installer tried to sell his own materials to the customer when it should be though the store.
The Worst thing we ever ran into was having to save a neighbors life behind the customers house in the middle of one of our fence installs, mind you we had to break down part of the neighbors fence to get to him. Which we fixed later. He called us Lowe's Angels. A near Quadriplegic stuck on his floor for 24hrs ain't too good after his electric chair flipped on him.
Can someone help us understand why we got kicked out of all those stores with a 95% or better score?
It won't matter soon, we hope to have a better contract with another company that appreciates our work.
This will be the first time we have had to advertise to stay in business.

The worst thing in the world happen to me!
I recently had the worst thing in the world happen to me. I lost my Mom to breast cancer. During her last week I was a bit scatter brained and I forgot to pay my Lowes account.
The payment 15.00 the fee for being late 30.00. Then they decided to cut my credit limit down by 42.00? Where does that come from? Anyway, I wrote them, asked them to reconsider and explained the situation. I even sent a copy of my Mother's obituary for their reading pleasure. I asked them to call me so we could resolve the issue. They closed my account. It sickens me that my business means so little, but trust me, so does yours! Beware of doing business with suck heartless slashers! I am now a Home Depot Consumer or a Ma & Pa hardware pay cash consumer. Years of paying on time to get dumped like a piece of trash. Lowes will never get a penny from me if they were having a storewide penny sale! Oh and my call to Customer Service: We'll I guess they just didn't want to call you back so they closed your account instead.

We were amazed at the attitude of the associates
Yesterday afternoon my husband and I went to Loew's to get a small shade for our newly refurbished kitchen. This simple purchase took us about an hour and a half to be completed. We were amazed at the attitude of the associates. We wanted to know if certain small lamp shade on display came in a particular lighter hue. So we waited about ten minutes to see if someone will show up at the department.
Went to the big appliances section and they paged somebody who never showed up. Waited some more.
Meanwhile whenever I saw an associate I tried to get his/her attention but they literally ran away from me saying that Lighting was not his/her department. Soon I realized that in the big appliances dept. there were two associates immovable looking on at our situation. It was funny in a way if we had been not the actors but the audience. Unbelievable!
Finally, we decided to get whatever and go the cashier promising never to go back.
Thought you would like to know.
Sincerely,
John and Elena
