return of washing machine
Purchased a GE Profile washer and dryer with stands. Took me 15 minutes to purchase appliances and set up delivery for the next morning at 8:00. After three weeks the washer started smoking and a burning smell came out of it. Called back to same store and explained what happened. First they just gave me a 800 number and said they could do nothing. Then after realizing I had 90 days, I called and asked for a new washing machine. They said they didn't know if they had one, when pushed they finally said they did, then when I asked to be scheduled for the next day, the person in appliances said that only a manager could do scheduling and they would have to get back to me. After three more calls I finally got scheduled. The next day two delivery men showed up and came in and said they would have to check to make sure washer was broken (said not that they thought i was lying) and then said they thought that they had brought the wrong color. Said they would return in a couple of hours. Not...then I called store manager who proceeded to come out with another man and take pictures of washer and turns out the delivery guys had the right washer just was alittle color blind. Came back five hours later (all day by now) and drove onto yard, scraped walls, and while unpacking new washer in garage to bring in, dropped it. So, wondering if this one will last????????? I had no trouble buying it but what a nightmare when i had a problem.

Poor customer service
Well I am just enraged. Today my husband and I went to Lowes to purchase a new dryer. When we first arrived we were not greeted. We stood in the the plumbing department for over 45 minutes before someone finally came to help. BUT WAIT!!! They did not help us at all they just said that they would get someone else to help you. So after waiting for 25 more minutes, the so called manager Pam, came over and was extremely rude. She seemed more concerned about her looks then helping us. So we say screw the dryer, and just pickup some paint for our guest room. So we go to the check out and there is a new cashier that did not know what she was talking about. So she yelled over to one of the head cashiers. Who was the most hideous woman. I believe her name was Tess she was extremely rude and felt the need to tell us that she was pmsing! In the meantime there was another head cashier who wouldn't stop talking about Mountian Dew and ciggarettes. Then this man walked by us and walked like he had a stick up his bum, he asked the head cashier Tess if she had seen Pam. So we ended up leaving the paint on the counter and went directly to home depot, where we were able to purchased our dryer, paint without any problems.
The moral of this story is that LOWES BLOWS!!!...Go to Home Depot for your home improvement needs.

Failed to do what they said they would!
My wife and I went to Lowes in Cleveland, Tenn. to purchase a refrigerator. We drove 170 miles to Cleveland because we are building a cabin nearby. We purchased the refrigerator and set up a time the next week to meet them at our cabin. The next Saturday, March 1, we drove another 170, one way to Lowes, and was told they couldn't deliver the appliance that day. No, I'm sorry, no let me make this up to you, nothing.
I have been a life long and loyal customer at Lowes. Looks like it's big orange time for me now. Maybe they can deliver on their promises.

Terrible experience!
We purchased $4000.00 worth of Georgia Pacific Lumber from July to September for a Deck project. My contractor used a laser level and installed all the lumber properly (this was not his first deck to build!) he knew what he was doing, at the half way point he realized the lumber was not uniform, one piece might be 7 1/2" wide and the next was 7 3/4" wide. Of course this made the finished product look bad. Lowes/Georgia Pacific came out took pictures and samples of the wood and said they would do what it took to make me happy. After 2 months of trying to talk to them, they lost the pic. and wood and now say My contractor is to blame. WHAT A CROCK OF!!! I am getting a lawyer! I will take the deck apart piece by piece and nail by nail to get my money back if necessary!
