I was lured to LTD by some pretty incredible prices. My fault: I forgot the "you get what you pay for" and "if it's too good to be true, it probaby is not true" sayings. I subsequently found out this:
1. This company uses shipping charges as a profit center. When you order 3 items, they don't tell you shipping, and then send you the 3 items in seperate boxes - charging you "published" rates. Charging you published rates is like charging you the unbelievable manufacturers suggested price on items. This rate simply cannot be what LTD gets charged. But they pass these huge charges on to their customers. Sickening.
2. This company operates as a "business to business" sales company - but it's really a "business to consumer" company in disguise. Why would this matter? Well, if you're a business owner - it's a big deal. If any of your employees create an account and then end-up leaving, YOU, the business owner, is responsible for all outstanding balances. And this place WILL go after every penny. It's yet another practice that should make you ask "do I really want to do business with a place that operates so under-handedly?"
3. The prices are pretty cheap - 'cause the merchandise is CRAP! They really make it look nice in the catalog or on-line, but if you read the fine print, you'll see you're getting an item smaller, more flimsy than you thought possible. The goods reminded me of the shit they gave you as prizes at the carnival - in fact, I think I've found where the carnivals shop!
Bottom-line people: It ain't worth it. Let this place die and the world will be better off.
