I took my 1999 Acura to a dealer service center second time (mistake to take an old car to dealer but i just bought it so i wanted to go to dealer first few times) with a Problem in transmission - it made noise when i shifted the automatic transmission from park to reverse intermittently 4-6 days once.
I still have the receipt written by them reading diagnoise transmission. the problem existed after delivery of vehicle even after paying 553.17$ - i fought with the service agent that the problem was not rectified, no use in arugments, Luciani auto provides very bad service. i have seen 2 more customers shouting at the front desk during my visit.
I went to a different garage this time referred by my friend and is not a dealer. within 10 minutes he said it is due to transmission oil, it is old and that is what is making the issue. i paid $270 for labor and parts and the problem was fixed.
I was suprised that the dealer didn't check transmission oil, which is a basic check - i won't be showing up at the dealer anymore - i was told by the dealer service that the life of transmission is 1 to 6 months when i took delivery, the garage owner said the transmission is good no problem with it.
Beware of luciani auto service center - don't go there.
