To Lufthansa Airlines:

I am writing to report an unpleasant event that occurred on Saturday April 24th when I was checking in for my flight in Tunisia. This incident that involved appalling customer service from your checking agent in the Carthage Airport in Tunisia has spurred me to file a formal complaint with Lufthansa and report the actions of this agent.

When I was checking in for my flight LH4111; after being delayed almost a week due to the volcanic ashes, I had one of the worst experience I’ve had while traveling. I was traveling with my 2 year old son who had also paid full fare like me, while checking our bags he had a very rude and arrogant attitude toward me and my father who was accompanying me to the airport. After tagging the checked bags he proceeded to only tag one of our 2 carry on, when I asked about my son’s carry on he bad-mannered told me that he had no right to a carry on and refused to tag it. I explained to him that my son was over 2 years old and had paid full price for his ticket therefore he was allowed to bring one carry on with him. At that point he be became very insulting and speaking with superiority telling me that he was not going to allow my son to take his carry on and he did not care if we traveled or not. I had no option but to leave my son’s bag that held the personal effects he would need for the flight.

This Lufthansa agent’s name is Tarek Dabbabi (duty station manager), a person who should not be a representative of any company, an employee that makes the Airline look bad. The last straw was when I informed Tarek Dabbabi I was going to file a complaint against him about this incident and his rudeness, he just looked at me and with an obscene hand gesture flipped me off. The treatment I received from Dabbabi is completely unacceptable to me and to any other patron who chooses your airline to do business with.

It will be the last time to use Lufthansa airline as well as my family and most of my friends, and I will pursue this matter until it is fixed appropriately.
