I purchased a piece of luggage on the Luggagebase.com website on 09/14/09. The luggage arrived on 09/22/09. My credit card company's fraud protection department contacted me on 09/24/09 alerting me to the fact that someone had attempted to use my credit card at a store in California on 09/23/09 - the same state that Luggagebase is located in.
I live in New York and have not set foot in California for more than 3 years. Luggagebase is located in California and I have not purchased anything online from any other businesses located in California. Therefore, I feel that it is very likely that someone in Luggagebase stole my credit card information.
Luggagebase should strengthen their security procedures to ensure that none of their employees are stealing customers' credit card information.
