In August 2007 I purchased a used 2004 F150 4x4 Ford truck from Lum's Ford. Manufacturer's waranty had just lapsed but the truck was covered by the dealer quality service waranty. During the signing of the papers I discussed with them that the rear power sliding back window was operating unusually slow. I wanted them to include this in writing but was told by the salesman that if it gave any trouble it would be fixed by the dealer.
The following months were cold so the window was not used. When the weather changed and I tried to open the window in March it would not work at all. I contacted the dealer's service department and was informed that it was not under waranty. I then talked with the sales manager and he called in the salesman who lied and said that the verbal promise was not made. After he denied the promise they sent me to the body shop and would LET me pay their cost to get it fixed ($100 to look at it and up to $1000 to repair). This was not the deal made with them and will not ever do business with them and would hope that no one I know will trust them in the future.
