On Saturday October 7, 2006 I purchased a 2002 Ford Ranger from this Dealership, which is about 50 miles from my home.
When I test drove the vehicle everything worked fine.
1 day later, a noise began in the engine and the CD player stopped working, at the time of sale the salesman informed me that the Ford warranty had elapsed, so he would cover the vehicle for 1000 miles.
I agreed to that because I new that I was buying a used vehicle. When I talked to my salesman I told him what the problems were and he said bring the car out and we will take car of it, I asked him would it be OK if I would take the car to a closer dealer he said no because they would back charge him a $1000 back charge, so I decide to bring the car to the dealership the next Saturday morning.
After driving 50 miles to the dealership, the mechanic looks at the vehicle says the the engines noise is a serpetine belt and would cost $181.00 dollars to fix and that the CD player is inoperable and would cost $800.00 to fix and that my Salesman would not cover the problems, because the warranty was only for safety issues.
So I checked into other dealerships and they would fix the belt for half the price, so now Luther says they will fix it for half the price, and won't even mention the CD player. After repeated calls to the dealership, asking to speak for the owner, the Owner MARIO LUTHER never returned a call, and had some of his Lackey' s call and give us the same old Dealership crap.
All I can say is that, the experience was eyeopening, I am going to make sure I tell everyone I know to avoid this dealership, and to avoid FORD in general, this is my first and last FORD Product.
I am filing a Better Business Bureau complaint, and also filing a Complaint with FORD Corporate.
