RIGHT TO PRIVACY VIOLATION
Purchased a Halo Video game from target and had my debit card out ready to pay. Before I was asked for my card I was asked for my Drivers License. I handed it to the clerk assuming he wanted to check it with my debit card. He immediately swiped it into his computer without asking. I asked him why he swiped my ID and he said the computer requires it to complete the transaction and check my age. I'm 30, well above the 18 year old age requirement.
More importantly, they don't need to record my ID when I purchase a product. The clerk has no option to do otherwise. Target does not have a right to my personal information under any circumstances. How is this information being used. The fact that it is recorded with out my consent in order to make a purchase I feel VIOLATES MY RIGHT TO PRIVACY.
