WORRY NO MORE
I purchased Worry No More Gold coverage for my outdoor furniture set in June 2010. This was to cover a $ 2, 800.00 patio set. I was told that it covered me in full, for full replacement or repair, for my entire set. My 11 foot umbrella cracked in half recently. Not even used a year. Macy's had the nerve to offer me $ 45 dollars under their plan. I told Macy's that a new 11 foot umbrella is at least $ 300.00, so this is not full replacement. They told me since the original $ 2, 800 set included a 9 foot umbrella as part of the package and I paid $ 45 dollars to upgrade from 9 to 11 foot. This is why they only wanted to give me $ 45. To me, this is a scam. If it's full replacement, it should be just that. After pushing them for at ;east 6 hours of phone calls, they offered me a $ 250 gift card plus the $ 45 dollars. I suppose that is more like it, however I should not have had to go through hell to get this far. Full Replacement Gold Coverage, should not defy common sense. Maybe my broken umbrella that they refused to deal with should have hurt someone, then they would have paid a lot more than this. I really hate being taken advantage of.

misinformation
Call Macys before I went shopping to find out my availability of what I could charge. I was told I did not have an amount, I was able to charge any amount.
Well I went shopping spend about %500.00 and than I was going to purchase another $51.00, when I was told I could not charge anything else, call the Customer Service Dept. and they told me I would be getting a letter and than I could not charge the $51.00, it was very embarrassed.

Bad customer service
My husband & I went to Macys today to outfit him completely for a wedding. When we brought the items to the checkout (no salespeople were on the floor to help us), I swipped my Macy's credit card and it brought up a code. Found out that they had cancelled my credit card since I had not used it for a year (always pd my bill on time, just don't shop alot). I was embarrassed in front of everyone for I had never even been contacted; they wanted me to apply for a new credit card (I don't think so). Walked out & will not go to Macy's again. Dillards is just down the road & they welcome my occasional business.

Beware
Actually, this should be a -3 stars because working at Macy's is a joke! I can only speak for my own store and experience but if you are in Houston, Tx DO NOT go to the West Oaks Mall Macy's. The managers are lazy and delegate all their responsibilities to the AST members and then yell at them for not getting their duties done. Speaking as an employee no wonder the turn over is so high. It's the most unprofessional, catty hostile work environment I have ever worked at. Employees are written up for everything from not making sales to not smiling enough (true story). The store manager shops and puts merchandize in her office till it goes on sale so she can get it for pennies on the dollar. The store looks like crap and no one has loyalty. I am sorry but when you are nit picked to death, you as a employee don't have much "Magic" to spread around. No wonder your satisfactory rating is below 50%. I hope this location closes in the near future. Even as a customer I will not shop in my store. Actually, this experience has closed me off from ever shopping at Macy's ever again.

Stay away
MCCS called my land line at 8:35 on a Saturday morning. An automated recording instructed me to hold for an important message. I did hold because I wanted to talk to a live person and have my number removed from such an appalling system. After 3 minutes and 45 seconds the system disconnected me!
I looked, on line and found out that is was Macy's collection agency. I DO NOT HAVE A MACY"S CARD and even if I did, I couldn't have resolved anything because they disconnected me!!!
I tried to resolve this issue by calling the number back, Macy's customer service and so on. The live people I did speak too couldn't do anything without my account number, WHICH I DON"T HAVE!!

CREDIT CARD
i have been a cardholder since 2007...my credit limit had gone up to $1000 a few months ago..today I called my card to find out how much my limit was and comes to find out that Macys has a new policy...credit cards don't have limits anymore and you can't know what your limit is..i spoke with a rep and they said even they didn't know but asked me how much I was going to spend so they can "check" and see if that would be ok..i told her $100 and she said "no sorry we cannot approve that" WTF?!?! i HAVE ALWAYS PAID ON TIME AND BEEN A HOLDER SINCE 2007.. FUCK MACYS...

Credit Card Scam
I have been charged hefty $ 25 fines for my payments bouncing. This after I had asked them to close out the account by providing my bank checking account details. They say they could not get through. However they were able to debit $25 dollars from my bank checking account to for the fines. They did this after i contacted them again 2 more times. The last time they said I would get a refund. but now I get billed again. I have'nt been to Macy's at all since this started. They are not a legitimate business. They are daylight thieves and low lives.

Nasty toilet paper
While shopping in the macy store in charlotte n.c. i used a restroom. for such an upscale store it is too bad they cannot provide a better grade of bathroom tissue. the tissue was one ply, thin and scratchy. both my son and my self were really surprised at the low quality in such a high quality department store. just wanted to share our disappointment in the low standards provided for customers. this is a small matter but i feel if people are not made aware of this it may effect business. it was going into a mcdonalds instead of macy's. i will continue to watch for sales but make sure not to use the restrooms in any macy store.

deceptive, malicious, sale
I also fell for a deceptive, brainwashing purchase made in Macy's jewelry department (daughters graduation) I do not know how I got home with a very expensive piece of jewelry. I went back to the store a few days later to return the piece just to be told that it was in clearance and because i have made many returns withing the month I was denied. I spoke to every supervisor, store manager, who very unprofessional told me that if I could not pay I would be reported to the CB and my credit ruined. when I was working I had a very good rating and was successful in keeping it that way. Now my sole source of income is SSD due to disability because of my emotional and physical health. My income is only SSD, stupidly i sent some payments to keep my credit rating but this wiped out all of my savings. now I have been reported, and collectors call 24/7 even Sundays! demanding payment. I wrote to the headquarters explaining my case but was told the same. I have the item in its original case/tags attached, untouched. I need to get authorization to return it so they can reimburse my money paid. I cannot believe that after 20 years of being a good customer Macy's, is treating me as a delinquent when it was their unethical, dishonest selling practice that got me in debt. This to me is a plain fraud. The sales personnel entice me to accept the purchase. I remember that on that day there were 2-3 girls ganging up on me. I was literally brainwashed. I cant pay this amount, I want them to take the item back and reimburse my money which is in dire need to pay for medications and doctors appointments. I have not told this to anyone until now fearing they will take me to jail if i do not pay. does anyone have a thought on this matter. what can i do to make them take their merchandise back and reimburse what they took from me. Rasical profile
I hear by want everyone to stop shopping at the macys in suburban square it doesnt have anything in there and secondly is like shopping at walmart they dont have good associates and no sercuity thats right no sercuity now what if a customer was to hurt themselves or if someone is stealing well i guess they dont care so why should we spend our hard earn money in this store, not to tell you the store manager nikki is a *** . i will never i mean never shop at that macys again . this store is location in adorome pa 19003 dont not shop here.
