Failure to produce goods!
I have received the most dismissive and insulting treatment at the hands of this second-rate furniture store. I placed an order for two wing back chairs on 13 September 2007. Not once have they phoned to tell me where and when i can expect the chairs, despite numerous calls to them. Now it seems what they dare to call their "customer care" line is simply not answered.
Stay away from these conveyors of cheap and nasty furniture!!!

Poor service
My husband and I bought some furniture from Madisons on the 31st March of this year. We were told that delivery would only take place in 4-6 weeks time, we accepted the terms because we really liked the items we were buying. We also purchased 2 matching pictures and paid cash on the same day. We were told that the pictures would be ready for collection in about two weeks. Two weeks went by and no pictures, another couple of weeks went by and eventually we were told that the pictures were ready.We collected our pictures by way of a messenger. We were given three pictures , the 3rd picture was clearly marked with another order number. Being honest citizens we returned the 3rd picture and also returned our 2 pictures because they were not matching any longer. It had been framed in different sizes. We were told that it would take about 7 days to fix the mistake. Four weeks later and with a lot of fuss we eventually tracked down our pictures, after being lied to that the pictures were at the original store that we had purchased it from, when in fact they were not.
The original items that we had purchased got delivered 11 weeks later. On the packaging was written our order number and surname, assuming it was our furniture we postponed unpacking the furniture until the following day because it was early evening already and we had other commitments . That evening at 22h00 the dispatch manager phoned us to apologize that the wrong furniture had been delivered to us. (Congratulations to such a diligent worker, the only person in the company who cared) We agreed that they could deliver our furniture on the following Monday. The following morning we phoned the store requesting that the wrong furniture be removed as it was occupying our entire lounge and we were expecting guests that afternoon. The people from dispatch arrived with a LDV , only basically to deliver ruined pictures and not to collect the wrong furniture. As for the pictures, we have requested that we be refunded as we cannot see ourselves waiting for the pictures another 4 weeks. (We are yet to receive a refund)
Along with the delivery note was a Questionnaire / Comment form on the company and their service. I completed it, faxed it to the head office and low and behold even though I had addressed it to the Managing director of the head office himself 11 days have now gone by and not a letter of acknowledgment has been sent our way, not even a phone call after I phoned the company and left a message for the managing director.
Never again will we deal with Madisons.
