fraud
Magazinecity.com, that is obviously scamming and cheating their customers. I put an order for a gift subscription for a magazine for Christmas in to them on December 6, 2007. We have never received the magazine, and everytime you call customer service you have to wait on hold 40-45 minutes, and they when you speak to them they lie to you and do not take care of the problem. Unfortunately after the fact I noted on the internet numerous complaints and poor reviews of this company taking money from people placing orders and no product received. Granted one order is not a lot of money, however if they do to this to a million people it does add up, doesnt it?

Non delivery of magazines
I ordered from Magazine City 2 magazines in January 2008, for what i was charged $ 50, for my daughter and I have not received even a single magazine.
I was trying to contact Magazine City but they never picked up the phone and never replied on my emails.
They should stop taking money from people. Is there anybody who can do something about this company.

Order never fulfilled
Placed two different orders for subscriptions (over $250.00). It has been over 8 months and I have not received any of the magazines. Their customer service gives you the run around. THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.

Stolen funds
I placed an online order for a years subscription with this fraud of a company in January of 2008. Within 1 minute I received an order confirmation e-mail and the amount of funds taken from my credit card. I have contacted magazine city and have been given several different stories to date by the extremely rude customer service people. As of this date I still have not received a single issue of the subscription that was prepaid. In July of 2008 I finally got thought to their customer service people again and was told that they no longer carry the magazine that I had paid for and that If I was stupid enough to order a subscription from this company I deserved to be taken in by them! When I demanded a refund from Heather the customer service person, she just laughed and asked "What are you going to do to get the money back?" and hung up on me.
What upsets me the most is that this company is continuing to do business and taking money from innocent people. What type of people work for this company? They obviously enjoy stealing from others. I wonder how they would feel if this was happening to them.

Did not receive order
I ordered a magazine as a gift back in January and the order still hasn't been fulfilled. Every time I call them, I am placed on hold and then told to call back later. I also sent an email and never received a response. I finally went through my credit card company (the payment posted right away) and they are going to deal with it. Don't order from this company. Go directly through the magazine.

Magazines never delivered - NO RESPONSE from Magazine City e-mails or phone
Ordered 3 magazine gift subscriptions Dec 5, 2007. Yes, DEC 2007. Credit card charged immediately. No magazines have been received - 8 months now. In the begining of this delay I ordered back issues from all 3 publishers and recieved them in 1 & 1 1/2 weeks. Can get no response from e-mails from any address or anyone at Magazine City. Begining phone call response similar to what read here - they verbally add on extra weeks though their website states otherwise. Current phone status - on hold then disconected due to high volume. Message service doesn't work either. Wish I had found access to this site before ordering from Magazine City. magazine never received
I ordered a magazine in early december for a christmas present. It is August 1, 2008 and i still haven't received the magazine. I have contacted the company many times and they do not return my calls nor my emails. The past 3 times i have called i have waited 7 minutes on hold only to find out that all lines are busy and to try to call another time. AAAHHHHH!! I am so frustrated!

What are they thinking?
I seem to have made a mistake in ordering 5 magazines from Magazine City in January/early February 2008. Six months later I have only received a few issues of one magazine - the other four magazines still missing. Customer service (after several unsuccessful calls) told me to wait until august to see if delivery commenced then - I find this strange given that my credit card was charged immediately upon ordering. I enjoy magazines and have ordered several others directly from the publishers. No delivery problems in those cases. Magazine City disappoints me. Do they consider more than 6 months delivery time normal?

Magazine never delivered
Never received magazine subcription which was purchased 03/08/08 for San Francisco Magazine, order number 25281791. No response to my numberous emails and phone calls. San Francisco Magazine has no record of receiving my subcription. I want a refund of 16.84.

Paid for magazine - still don't have it
Don't order through them. You will have passed on by the time you get your magaine. Their MO seems to be take your money immediately and worry about your magazine someday. The magazine I wanted told me that Magazine City works through a third party. Orders are made in bulk and only when there is enough volume.
I ordered a magazine and my credit card was charged on Jan. 31, 2008. In July 2008, I still didn't have the magazine. I called the magazine directly and they still had no record of a subscription order. So, I ordered the magazine myself with a subscription to start in 3 weeks. By the way, this was at half the price of the Magazine city order. I tried to call Magazine City on their 800 number and 4 out of 5 times, the call could not be completed. I tried the Charlottesville, VA number and told them I wanted to cancel the order and get a refund. The customer service rep put in a request for refund but no guarantee and said I would be called about it. I wasn't. Instead, I got an e-mail saying the subscription order was being processed. Great. I called the magazine again directly a few days later. Still no order request from Magazine City. I called Magazine City back to again canel the order and get a refund. No can do. Request denied. I paid full price to order through them. Their service is lousy, their people are curt. Never again.
