Subscriptions paid for but not received
On 12/15/2007 subscriptions for 3 different magazines were made, MagHeaven immediately charging my credit card at that time. Each recipient was mailed a gift subscription card announcing they would be receiving a years subscription to a magazine. On 03/03/2008 I sent an email stating none of the subscriptions had been received yet. They sent back another email assuring me everything was fine and that the subscriptions take 8 to 12 and up to 16 weeks to start with those magazines coming directly from the publishers themselves. So I waited the 16 weeks and then a little more, still no magazines. On 04/06/2008 I sent another email stating I'd waited their "standard" waiting time and also included a copy of their initial einvoice sent back to me via my email address confirming my order. At that time requested that either the magazines start or refund the money immediately. I received a response the following day stating they'd contacted their "clearing house" and all should be receiving the June issue by the end of May, but those magazines wouldn't be considered late until the first week in June. A couple weeks after that correspondence 1 of those subscriptions started, receiving 2 of the past issues. Now the next issues are late. There is no phone number to contact them except a fax number. They boast being in business 25 years with a "satisfaction guaranteed", yet not one apology in any of the correspondence with them via email. THE GUARANTEE IS A PLOY TO WIN THE CONFIDENCE OF A SHOPPER BUT HAS NO REAL VALUE. Their business practices are commonly known as THEFT OF SERVICES and is illegal. I'm also filing a complaint to investigate with the credit card company so MAGHEAVEN.COM can be flagged as a fraudulent services company.
