No worth the time an trouble
I bought Magic Jack as an extra line for my business, for out going calls. I voice quality was bad, garbeled most of the time. I spent countless hours "chatting" on their website. No one could correct the problem. I was the only person who called the Magic Jack # from other phones. Sometimes it went directly to voice mail. My staff said they picked it up and there would be no one there and I was getting a voice mail message on my end. I was able to return it to Radio Shack for a gift card refund only. No worth the time an trouble. Cheap is cheap. you get what you pay for!!!

Do not buy one of these things
My mom & dad purchased a MagicJack in January of 2009 and tried to use it on their Windows XP machine. Unfortunately, it did not work reliably. Many calls had choppy sound and some would not go through at all. If you rebooted the PC it might work good for an hour or two, but inevitably, it would start having problems withing a few hours.
After months of frustration, I took their MagicJack home & tried on my Windows XP machine. The result was the SAME, inconsistent sound quality. Have to constantly restart to get it to work, and even then it only works well for a little while and inconsistently.
DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE THINGS.
My XP install is just a straight install with SP3 and anti-virus software. Now crapware or extra stuff. I also have a 10MB high speed cable connection for the Internet, so if it can't work well under these conditions, it never will.

Magic Jack customer service refused to honor their 30-day money back guarantee
Magic Jack customer service refused to honor their 30-day money back guarantee. The product did not work as promised, and they also refused to return $40 in pre-paid international charges.
I was doing mission work for my church, and needed to call Haiti. I am very disappointed in their deceptive marketing practices, and have to resort to getting my credit card company to "charge back" the funds.
Buyer beware!

Zero customer support
After the initial setup worked for awhile, I experienced difficulties making outgoing calls. The customer service
q & a did not resolve the problem and no one responded to my chat inquiry.
There is no one to speak with and get any customer satisfaction. Yes, this is very disconcerting when you sign up for long term service.

After using the Magic Jack for about 3 months it suddenly stopped working
After using the Magic Jack for about 3 months it suddenly stopped working! After spending 2 hours on the phone with 4 different people, I was told that they were turning it over to their engineering people and I would hear from them and have it fixed in 24-72 hours. Hour 96 comes, still haven't heard from ANYONE and the Magic Jack still doesn't work, I again contact them and after the 2nd person am told they need remote access to my computer to fix it. Grant a company like this free access????????I think NOT! Never once did I feel that they were concerned or cared about this problem! NO MORE MAGIC JACK!!

On my calls there is a constant beeping that frustrates my callers to no end
On my calls there is a constant beeping that frustrates my callers to no end. And, voices drop off so sometimes you only catch a few words in a sentence being said. i have chatted with their online "customer no-service" and they all tell me to do the same thing--disable my security--as well as other things that don't make sense and don't work. they also say they have done something to the magic jack phone number i have and it should now work. i am sick of them having me do ridiculous things that don't work. i am returning my MJ. I got it from office depot, so luckily there is a 30-day return policy.

Over billed me and there is no way of getting a hold of anyone
They, Majic Jack, has over billed me and there is no way of getting a hold of anyone. There seems to be no phone number to call and acknowledge my order information or anything. This is no way to run a business.

Classic bait and switch tactics
I just tried magic jack . They bait you in by saying they won't charge anything if you're not satisfied. It echoed so bad, I couldn't even use it to check my phone messages. I had to pay to return it, and they kept $10 even though I hadn't made 6 minutes in calls, and returned it the day I received it.

Magic jack is supposed to be so easy. The piece of crap does not work. I was never even able to register the product to get a phone number.
Customer support is very limited and they could not help me.
Never was able to connect the product and they would not give a refund.
