Simply, do not buy Magic Jack
I do not get caller Id and I have done everthing suggested. The live chat people have NO CLUE as to what they are talking about. I switched from Vonage and that was a big mistake. DO NOT buy Magic Jack.

Unreliability of magic jack is just not worth the headache
The problems I experience on a daily basis are: 1) hearing an echo of my voice, 2)the person I'm calling complaining about the call breaking up on every third word 3)about every 30 seconds the person I'm calling hears a beep as if I have accidentally pressed one of the # buttons, 4)not being able to get a dial tone, sometimes even after 5 minutes, (and that is not acceptable in case of an emergency!) 5)If I'm successful at getting a dial tone, I can try to place a call but about 1/2 the time it rings once then there's dead air so I have to call again, 6) unable to receive incoming calls even though my computer is up and running the magic jack program. Even though the price of magic jack is more affordable, I am going to go back to comcast. The unreliability of magic jack is just not worth the headache. This product really sucks!

Nothing, but problems
Got it fine, sound was awful, tunnel sound and lots of statci. I sent it back and got a refund but not for return postage as priomised. I have a problem now, I keep getting email telling me I have messages from my Magic Jack account, that is annoying. I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone today trying to deleted my email from their system and have had no success. They are supposed to let me know in 24-48 hours. Don't bother getting magic jack the service is terrible.

This is terrible planning and service
Magic Jack is a marginal voip solution that gives average quality. I bought one five months ago specifically to make work phone calls from home. The largest part of my work phone calls are to conference calls that other people set up. Today Magic Jack told me that they are no longer allowing customers to call conference numbers. I did not agree to this limitation and would expect that they would either extend the access to people who have already signed up for the entirety of their first year or offer to refund their money. When I attempted to run this by Magic Jack support, they would not help me at all. This is terrible planning and service.

Want to cancel my subscription
My Magic Jack (MJ) incoming calls were dropping after 30 seconds. Their tech support (Branden and Haley) made so many changes to my PC (none of which solved the problem) that it is a wonder I can still connect to the Internet. I was blown off with a "I will reset you on our side") and dropped, with a wish for a happy life!?! When I try to get get back on for live chat help, I find that they have arranged that the entry path is not there. I have been blocked from complaining about their totally incompetent tech support. When I go back on the site, I have to look at the insipid father/daughter ego trip. In the mean time, I am stuck for 5 years with 30 second incoming calls. And PC magazine rated them highly? Need to cancel my subscription. VERY dissatisfied.

Bad voice connection right from the start
I installed the Magicjack and rite from the start I had bad voice connection. I went online to tech support for 3 hours and they had me make all kinds of changes to my computer but they could not fix the problem. My computer is not that old. Do not buy magicJack. It may not work.

Not unlimited calling
My service was suspended for excessive use. The company has the right to suspend your service at anytime if they feel your use exceeds their guidelines. Read part 6/proper use of the terms and policy.

Very unreliable company
Magicjcak is a one way phone sytstem MOST of the time, very UNRELIABLE. You can hear the other party or they can hear you but NOT at the same time. If you don't care about connection every time and have good connection like the normal phone system then it is for you.

I don't recommend this product to anyone
My magic jack broke shortly after the 30 day trial was over. Also, it only works if you're computer is on.
