I bought the magicjack to use when I travel or in my garage with my laptop. I carried it for the past year not using it because of my cell phone. I plug it in and it is deactivated. I tried to renew the device/contract but was unable to. I used the chat 4 days in a row each time being transferred to a higher level of service. Each time I was told that they were sending the info to the tech department and they would get back to me within a day.
Still the device is deactivated after 9 days of waiting. Still the same answers like I am presenting them with a problem for the first time yet nothing. The device works for some but not always. They deactivate them for non use no matter if the contract is up or not. Customer service is very poor in both knowledge and communication.
Bottom line: Dont waste your money. You are better off handing it to the guy standing on the corner wanting money for beer, at least he is honest!
