paid for a year got half
i paid in full the 47.00 and they kept taking money out. the darn thing ruined two usb ports and now they tell me after four days chatting with braiN dead ten year oldS that a new unit was on its way . iwas to recieve it in 5 days. it has been a week i chatted again and now the real con comes out. they want to know why my card on file does work any more. WHAT i was told to pay 50.00 more dollars and put an active credit card on file bEfore they sent the repalcement unit. THANK MELINDA AND JAZZ AND HOLEO AND WHAT EVER OTHER FAKE NAME THESE CON ARTISTS CAN THINK OFF. what a con without a face does anyone have a class action lawsuit started I AM IN Ln. Works
I purchased majicjack from Wal-Mart about a month ago. It worked as soon as I hooked it up, location is in Texas. I am now deployed to Iraq and magicjack is still working. I have had no real complaints with this product. They must have upgraded it or something. But so far so good!

P---Poor service
Phone service was purchased May 9 2008 and an additional one year was added at initial purchase.They sent 2 majicjacks and had to rma the second uit .The phone was disabled after the first year without notifying me although the second year was pre-paid.Cant check this as they confused the active unit with the returned unit in thier order format.
Have tried now for 14 days to renew and get the same thing over and over.I get an error message when trying to again extend the service.every agent tries the same thing from a script that dont work when I go to thier support page.Every agent has promised they will get back to me Via e mail and nothing but empty promises.
These guys dont have a clue how to fix an internal problem and they take Your money and dont record it properly.

no instructions, assigned long distance #
After watching the commercial, easy as 1, 2, 3...I purchased the jack and attempted to install on my computer. They fail to tell you that you must tturn off your firewall and pop-up blocker to install. after typing online to the only customer service reps for nearly 90 minutes I was finally able to get in installed with a long distance phone number! Anyone that calls me has to pay LD charges. I told them I needed a number in my area code so was instructed to go to mymajicjack.com and change area code and it is $10 every time you change your number. So i argued that and got it changed as I never even had it set up yet. I was told that all my calls would be routed through the wrong number for 30 days until the local number is in effect. This is not as easy as is claimed.

partial refund only
I purchased and returned 2 majicjacks but was only refunded for only one.I have been trying since nov.2008 to get my refund but I keep getting the runaround .I have spoken to several customer representatives and higher- up support, but all I get are a bunch of lies and promises that my credit card will be credited within 48-72hrs.All it is a bunch of bullshit and I have told them so, and then they close the line.

Does not work
I bought a new computer, a phone, and the majicjack all in one day . Everything worked great EXCEPT for the majic jack. When I hooked up I tried to make a call ... "Yeah Right " all I got was breaking up noises . I tried all the troubleshooting soultions and even chatted with tech. support. They couldnt help me so I chatted with the Supervisor .After about 30 mins of trying every thing in the book I tried again . Nothing happened .. I couldnt even get it to come up . all I could get was a error message. So I took it back for a refund . My advise to anyone thinking of trying this product .." DON'T".. It sucks .

unauthorized charge
On November 19, 2008 I ordered a majicjack and was charged $43.85 November 20, 2009, but I never received the Majicjack in the mail. On December 17, 2008 I called Majicjack to complain that the Majicjack was never received. December 18, 2008 I was charged $100.99 for two Majicjack which I received in the mail. Todate I was charged a total of $144.84 and have onkly received two majicjacks.
Majicjack had a special on in December, 2008 and I should only be charged for one majicjack.

lack of customer assistance
I have been assigned th e205 area code while I live in Las Vegas, NV. I have tried for the last two days since I received the Majicjack to correct the problem with no success.Your so called live support is a useless system.no one alive will contact the customer and when you click on the site you will be directed to a page that offer product to buy, I need help to change the area code if not possible please inform so that I may return the product.
