Reg Internation Flight rates in Online
Hi all, I am trying to book a ticket from US to India for the month of August 2010. In website the price shows as 61, 500 Rs. So just to make confirmation I called the customer service and asked the price. They gave me the same flight details and quoting as 88000 rs. I didnt really understand and asked the customer service agent why it is showing as 61, 500 in your website. They say it is some techinal fault. How can such a big company tell there is a technical fault. I am really afraid to make any transactions. Could you please help. Thanks

Refund of the cancellation amount
I had booked a international ticket for my wife from New Delhi to London for Jet Airways on 13th of April 2010 with the following details

But in time I had to cancel it and i did the cancellation on 25th of April, and a refund of RS 11, 059 was promised to me within 7 days. i also got a automated confirmation mail regarding this.

After this the ordeal started, i tried to contact Makemytrip after 15 days and i was told that there was some problem at the airlines side and i will get the refund back in 5 working days. again this did not happen, i again called on 23rd of May ie after one month now, i was told that the refund has been initiated and the refund will happen in next 5 days, i also got a confirmation mail regarding this from their executive with the following message.

Again a false promise, i called them again on 1st of june 2010, this time another executive Rohit Anand promised me that the refund amount will reflect within 3 working days.

I called them again today but the customer care just hung up on me on after asking me to wait while he transfers the call to the concerned person.

There is no work ethics at MakeMyTrip and the personnel there just fool around with customers wasting their time and energy with no fault of their.
They make false promises which are never kept.
Hope people will take precautions from my experience and deal with caution with MakeMyTrip.

and if there is a Makemytrip person reading this post then help me with closing this issue

Promotional scheme
Makemytrip ran a promotion in Apr 2010, of free domestic travel in India if return tickets to US were booked. I booked the return tickets (Reference Makemytrip booking no. - US1004B00832) . During booking process, when I enquired of what are the conditions to book free flights, the person on phone told me, that I can call about it whenever provided it's atleast 21days before my free intended travel.
Today, May 31st, I called up makemytrip toll free number to utilise this for 'delhi to jammu ' on 28th Jun (well within 21days creteria). I was told I can't do it, as I had to book any such requests within 7 days of booking. And since the scheme is withdrawn, there's nothing can be done. My only reasoning, it that I was not DELIBERATLY told this, and was mis-informed by telephone operator, (Mr. Tilak), so the company wouldn't have to honour commitment, (are they trained to do this? that is to comfortably forget very important condition). Furthermore, the operator (Ms. Sheetal) and supervisor (Mr. Deepak), both starts giving me lectures and arguments of what shall I have done (like check online, called back etc.) and more rules (lecture - our company and any company can withdraw any promotional scheme at any given time). At this moment, I am to wait for 24hrs during which they will check on what can be done. Let's wait and watch.

Giving Wrong Information and Misguiding Travelers

I booked a ticket from Delhi to Bangalore for 1st March (for same day as it was an emergency) through the website of makemytrip.com. I wanted to reach there soon so I checked the flight status. In results the website www.makemytrip.com showed us the earliest flight at 18:00 hrs. which was convinent to us. But when I completed the process including the payment it showed me flight timing at 21:20 hrs. I was totally shocked and worried by seeing the timings because 1. I was in really in hurry and 2. It was already paid. So I decided to call up to Makemytrip and the customer care told me that "I really apologies for the inconvinence but this was due to some technical default on the website" then I said ok then kindly reschedule my flight at an earlier timing then they said it can surely be done but you on the respective airlines can do this and when I asked for cancellation they asked me to pay a charge of rs. 1000 for it while this all was done from there (makemytrip) backend. This is not all I had to face a lot of trouble even after paying 1000 rs. due to there fault.<br />

My concern here is not those 1000 rs. but my concern is are they making fool of us who believe such companies and book tickets online. Imagine if they get 1000 queries in a day and if they do same thing with any 10 customers and charge rs. 1000 on each then I am sure makemytrip can easily earn 30, 000 rs. in a month. Just by fooling its customers. Is there any way to stop it and get my 1000 rs. refund?<br />

Also whosoever is coming through this complaint I would recommend not to use any service provided by Makemytrip.com as they maybe fooling you and earning lots of thousands from you.

I suppose to get Refund Amount Rs. 3, 120 by 14th december 2009 as per your policy but still I didn't get any refund from Makemytrip.

I have mailed 3 times and I have call to 1-800-102 8747 several times but no response from your team.
I have asked for escalation matrix to the customer care but they asked me to write a mail but how many times I have to write. There is no acknowledgement and reply for earlier mail.

Due to bad response from makemytrip have to pay the whole amount or else I have to take alternative steps to get my money back.

several times I have for payment confirmation number for which Makemytrip paid to ICICI bank but they not providing any details.

They have asked for bank statement on 28th December 2009 but after sending it no reply. Then they have asked for card number on 31st December2009 after it also no reply,
If you are going to follow this same you will lose the customers. Its an bad experience for me with Makemytrip.

no refund of money
I booked ticket on 29 dec for a flight from bhopal to delhi, while booking they deducted amount from my bank account and then said, seat is no longer available. Further money which is supposed to be refunded in 2 days has not been refunded yet, their customer care number is always switched off and they never reply on email .

My worst experience with customer care PNR No. - YQC4FA
Hello,

I have had the worst customer care experience with the makemytrip. I seriously am so much frustated with the way customer care talks and answers your query.

I wanted to reschedule my parents tickets because of medical emergency which was booked for 29th Aug (PNR No. - YQC4FA). I called up yesterday (5th June) and talked to "Ruchika". After talking for an hour on phone she told me that the reschedule penalty is 300$ plus the airfare difference. I asked her to book it for 14th of july because on makemytrip website I could see the airfare was $726 per ticket (means the airfare difference would be $4). She told me that the airfare difference on her system is 100$. I do not understand why two interfaces of the same system is giving such a big difference. She explained it to me that sometimes airlines put extra charges for the reschedule. I asked her whats the cancellation charge? She replied after "10 minutes" and checking on the system that its the same as reschule penalty which is $300. I said just go ahead and cancel my tickets and I will book it again from your website. It was saving me 200$, makes sense?

She said if she can call me back after doing all the formalities and confirm it. I said I am fine with that.

I did not recieve any calls from makemytrip for one day. After checking on the website again I found that airfare was increased for 14th of July. Even though I could see for 15th of July its showing 724$ (airfare differnce of $2 from my original fare).

I called up again today (6th of June) and I talked to "Sapna". After again going through the same process and an hour long call, she told me that the airfare difference is $60, why? On your website its showing 10 different flights with airfare difference of $2??? she explained that she is giving me the confirmed seats and on the website you never know if its confirmed, weird isn't it???

I asked "Sapna" to just cancel my tickets (I wanted to avoid all this discussion) and I will book it through website. She told me that cancellation charges are $375??? Why "Ruchika" told me its $300 and I asked her the same. She said "oh its Ruchika, let me talk to her" and after talking to her she said "by mistake she quoted $300 to you"? MISTAKE after checking the system and after an hour long waiting on call?

I asked "Sapna" if I can talk to any supervisor or Manager because I am not getting the answer. She said that nobody is there and they will come at 10:30 AM (right now it should be 7:30 AM). So all the agents work without any superior in the company? When I asked she gave me the names of her Manager "Gaurav Kamboj" and "Deepthi Khare".

With no other options I contacted the web chat if I can get some answers there. I talked to "Rishabh Bhardwaj". After explaining him everything he mentioned that he will connect my chat to the concerned department. He connected me to "Sapna" again, what a coincidence???? I am speachless! I asked her if I can get the phone number or email id? she did not reply back to me. THERE IS NO ANSWER ON THE WEB CHAT FOR 20 minutes! "Are you there Sapna" and the answer is "yes", but where are my answers?

I don't know what should I do and where should I contact. If this is the customer care service I am sure makemytrip will fall down very badly in future. In this age of so much competition you are causing so much inconvience for the customer and wastage of time. There is no answers and everybody is quoting a different price, and the best part is there is no synchronization in your own system? And you don't get your answers at all.

I am really afraid If I want to do business with makemytrip again! I have been a customer since long but I seriously dont want to go through makemytrip customer care at all.

Could you please help me out in reschedule? or please help me talking to anyone responsible and who knows the process! Please someone answer why there is so much money difference in the makemytrip website and customer care system? Does they pull air fare from difference resources?

No Refund
I cancelled 2 tickets on NOV 2008. No refund has been made till now. Its been more than 6 months. I am very disappointed with makemytrip. I booked many tickets before for myself and my friends but I do not think I will again go back to makemytrip.

cunsumer fraud
They seem to be frauds and it seems that they are running an internet scam to collect personal information! They confirmed tickets, took credit card numbers and passport/drivers license information and finally not issuing the tickets. It is already more than 36 hours since I gave them all information. Every time I call them they say that the tickets are confirmed and they are going to be issued in an hour or so. Finally when I pressed more the last representative said that the ticket cannot be issued and they are working on it.

In the mean time I had cancelled the other tickets which I bought elsewhere. So I already lost money on the other tickets and now I have my personal information with some fraud artists. I am scared that they will misuse the information and plan to take legal recourse against them. Anybody else has similar experience with makemytrip?

Unauthorised cancellation of tickets
I have booked air tickets for 4 persons (self, my wife and my parents) to go to Tirupati from Vizag. All the tickets were confirmed and fare collected by Makemytrip. To my surprise when we check-in on 20/04/08 at Vizag Airport, Deccan Airways informed that the booking is there for only for 3 persons. On further check by airlines, based on the printout I have, they found that my mother's booking has been cancelled by someone from Makemytrip. I called Makemytrip Delhi; after a lot of time to get thro'' the (useless) interactive voice system, I got their representative ( MrMicheal) who is of no help except keeping me for 45 minutes on telephone for giving some excuse that two names found same hence one seat was cancelled. They did even check with me before doing this not informed me. This is the height if stupidity ( my mother's name is Lakshmi and my wife's name is Vijaya Lakshmi hence one get cancelled ?????) and I had to drop my wife as the flight was full and could not buy a ticket even to get a seat for her. As this being a family pilgrimage trip, traveling with old parents, I had to do this. This had created lot of rift and misunderstanding which I am suffering due to the fault of Makemytrip who are irresponsible & callous. Beware of these people. On top this there is no communication from these characters and my 4th ticket airfare is still not returned.( which of-course does no patch-up what these people have done to me).

It’s a night mare and think a while when you deal with Makemytrip. I do not how and why these people are allowed to do business and how I redress my anguish.
