invasive violation of privacy; class action lawsuit
Let's bring legal action against this horrid cabal of criminals. How can we shut them down? Their business practices violate the very tenet of personal liberties, one of which is our right to privacy. What they do is no different than identity theft. I will nor rest until these morons are yanked off of the internet for good.

Unauthorized
I was browsing Google etc one night and thought it would be fun to see what would happen when I typed in my husbands co name.. Well I did and couldn't believe my eyes, here Manta popped up with the co name and income, which was way off, and had me as a principal.. haha a principal, I don't work for a school and my husband sure dont own one. I was so angry they had all this information, I never posted anything with Manta and neither did he. I went to there website and emailed them, said someone would contact me within 1 business day, well 3 weeks later nothing.. I emailed them today, and being so frustrated, I typed in Google Mantas phone number and seen the complaints from other people about Manta, so i registered and now I am typing this.. I do not know where they get there info from, but they have no right displaying someones company, without checking with the owner or mgr to see if this is what they want advertised. This Manta company is horrible, and invasion of peoples privacy, and I hope more complaints come in, so they get shut down or get fined and held responsible for this unauthorized publishing of peoples profiles and companies. If companies want to advertise with Manta then that's a different story, but for people who don't want all this in the open, then leave it alone, and stop puting people and privacy in the spotlight, this isn't right... I hope they will see this and do what is asked and take our company name off there list.

Posting Home Address on Google
I am a home business and recently googled my name to find that Manta.com has posted my home address for the online without my permission on Google. In order to correct the info, they tell you to claim the profile, so I did, and I changed the location. It just created an alternative profile and my name and home address is still on googles websearch for everyone to see. Isn't this illegal for them to invade your privacy?!
I emailed them several times and nothing and they refuse to post a phone number on there site.
