Market Force/Certified Field Associattes Reviews

Ever wonder if merchandising is the job for you? If so, seek out a "real" company that pays for your efforts, gives adequate pay for your time, gives you a W-2 for wages and NOT a 1099 misc. form, pays for the supplies you have to use while on the job, and pays for training and miles driven to and from jobs. Market Force is NOT this company. I had been a merchandiser for them for over 3 years with NO pay increase, ever. In fact, the job duties actually increase with less time to complete, and less pay as the years go by. After spending the past week working my self to death for over 10 hours per day, a Market Force rep. called me at home to leave me a message to tell me I was deactivated from their system based on false information given to them by a client . Gee, do you think they would have called me on my cell like they normally do when they need me to work for them? NO...they call me at home when I'm busy out in the field working, then I come home after 10 p.m. that night only to realize they removed me from their system, and I don't get to enter any of my jobs for the day. After I was hired by a "real" merchandising company that gave me a name tag, vest, box cutter, compact feather duster, and pen for use on the job, I realize that MarketForce is only a "beginner" merchandising company wanna be...they keep all of the money from clients and pay you many times below minimum wage. And YOU have to provide all of your own supplies for jobs...i.e., boxes, tape, pens, paper, ink, printing, gas, etc. Wow, only someone desperate, like I guess I was, would work for a company like this. Do yourself a favor, find a company that actually pays you for your time, efforts, gas, and supplies. And find a company that won't change your job duties in the middle of working...unless you happen to have wireless internet and can check their website 10 times a day to be sure that everytime there is a change to your account you are aware of it before you come home or start a job. Oh, and make sure that if you take on ANY job that involves a digital camera, that you stand a chance of not being paid for that job if their client deems that something was not correct with your photo. I spent 6 hours in a department store arranging clothing on racks, only to not be paid for any of my work because they didn't feel that my photo was acceptable. I worked for free that day...not to mention my 10 hours of work on the day they deactivated me. Makes me wonder just how much their clients are paying them for the jobs they give us...I'm sure much more than $3-$8 per job!! I'll gladly take Market Force's "help desk" customer service job...I'm sure they get paid more than minimum wage!!
