My vehicle was involved in an auto accident on 8/25/2006. I had my truck taken to maroone ford in delray for repair. To date, my truck has been the shop 5 times to correct body work issues.
As of today, 12/5/, the truck is still not repaired and maroone is trying to bully me into allowing them to try and fix it again. They are trying to sway me from thinking about taking them to court.
In regards to my post involving maroone ford of delray, when the truck came out of the shop the first time, i had it for one day and the right front tire split....i called progressive my ins carrier, and had them take the truck to another shop for an evaluation. It was found that maroone never pulled and straightened the frame correctly. The truck was pulling to one side. Progressive paid that shop to straighten the frame, and make some other corrective changes. Then i took the truck back to maroone for repair yet again for poor body work. They kept the truck for more than 10 days and corrected nothing. They stated that they saw no flaws and that their work was fine. I then calle.d the corp office and made a complaint. On Friday dec 1st 2006, progressive ins and an autonation corp employee came out to my office and made an evaluation. They both determined that there are 14 problems with the body work. 11 exterior and 3 interior. My main problem is that i am a carpenter. While the truck has been the shop, i have had a rental. While in a rental i was not allowed to pull my trailer. This caused me to lose 2 jobs due to not being able to provide proper equipment. Maroone never made any offers to fix anything until i got corporate involved. As of right now there is still unrepaired damage on the vehicle as well as work with poor quality issues. I am honestly scared to give them the truck for another go at it.
Plus i feel that maroone can do whatever they want to. They have made no offers of compensation for anything. They don't care about me losing time from work, as well as income. If they had fixed the truck properly the first time, i would not be in this situation. All they want is to keep on trying to fix the same issues. The truck has been in the shop for more than 75 days combined.
