Buyer be aware!
After three weeks of trying to work with the dealer to repair all the troubles found with my brand new SRX (3 weeks old with less than 500 miles), I've finally decided to go to another Cadillac dealer in Nyack, NY.
Buyer be aware!
Martin Cadila will sell you their cars. But they are nowhere to be found when it comes to servicing the cars they sold. They will give you all kinds of excuses (bankruptcy filing being the main one) to not deliver on the warraty they touted when trying to make a sale. Or worse, tell you to complain to GM since it is them who made the car not the dealer?!
Up and down the organization starting from the general mamanger to the sales manager and even down to sales staff, they behave like fly-by-night third class used car dealer.
If you want to keep a classy and professional business realtionship with your car delaer, and get your hard earned money's worth out of your luxury vehicle, stay away from Martin Cadillac in Elglewood Cliffs.

Stimulus Can't Solve the Problems
After filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau, Consuemr Protection Office and Fair Trade Commission, GM fianlly responded. It directed me to Grand Prize Cadillac in Nyack, NY (not Martin Cadillac!) to repair my car. It is still unfortunate that it had to take govenrment agency's involvement for GM/Cadillac to properly service its customer. To my dismay, Martin Cadillac was not even in the picutre in resolution of my serive issues.
I have always driven Japanese cars and this was first time purchasing American car somehow believing all the recent events with the Big Three have helped them wake up and get their acts together. Based on my experience, GM and its dealers, especially Martin Cadillac, still have a long way to go to catch up their foreign competitions.
What I had to endure after giving them $54K business -- lack of professionalism in dealing with clients, unresponsiveness to customer issues/concerns and lack of timeliness in resolving problems -- epitomizes the problems of American Car industry.
As for me, I am going back to Japanese/Korean next time I buy my car.

poor service/customer service
I took my 2003 CTS into Martin Cadillac to recive a tune up, fuel injection service becasue I've had my car for a couple of yesars and never received this type of service, and have plans to keep the car a while longer. Please note I took my car in becasue I wanted to get this servce work done on my car not becasue I was having any problems with my car, my car was running fine prior to the service. After I left my car at the dealer I recvied a call my from the service advisor Oscar Romero, he informed me the technician saidthe fuel pump was leaking, and the timing belt was about to break. I told Oscar to go ahead and complete the work. I picked up my car on Friday 7/23/10 and noticed my car was running very rough. On Monday morning 7/26/10 I called Oscar to infom him my car was running very rough and I would be bringing my car back Monday afternoon after work. I took my car back where Bruce ( service manager)frist looked at my car and stated is was running rough, and vibrating too much. Then Tim the other service manger looked at my car and noticed a hose underneath the hood needed to be replaced. Oscar informed Tim the technican stated it was the motor mount, Tim replied no its this hose and prceeded to show Oscar how when he squeezed the hose the vibrating was reduced. Tim insturcted Oscar to put me in a rental and my car would be ready the following day. The following day I called Oscar around 3:00pm becasue I had not heard from him about my car. Oscar stated the hose that Tim suggested to change was done, but the car was still vibrating too much and they needed to keep my car another day. Wednseday went buy and I didn't hear from anyone, Thursday morning I call Oscar again to find out the status of my car. Oscar informed me the technician stated it is the motor mount. I told Oscar I was very unhappy with the work that was done on my car. First they complete the work and don't test drive the car to mkae sure its working properly, second, when the technican had my car up on the rack and noitced the water pump was leaking, and the timing belt was breaking, why didn't he notice the motor mount then? Oscar replied I don't know. I asked Oscar to have Tim call me. Tim did call me after several hours and said the tecnican stated the motor mount was crushed and that this is why the car was vibrating so rough. I asked Tim the same question I asked Oscar how is it that when the technican had my car up on the rack this wasn't noted. Tim replied the techncian should have checked it then but he forgot. I informed Tim to go ahead to complete the work but I didn't see how I had to pay another $500 after I had already spent $ 1500. Tim told me they would start on my car and it would be ready on Saturday 7/31/10. Again I called oscar on Saturday afteroon becasue I hadn't heard from anyone and Oscar informed me tim told him on Friday the car would not be ready until Tuesday 8/3, becasue they had to order parts. tim didn't borther to call me on Friday to let me know about this (poor custoemr service). I have a few issues : the customer service at Martin Cadillac needs improvment I should not have to keep calling to find out the status of my car, they should be calling me to inform me. The techncian that did the tune-up, and fuel injection serivce didn't test driove the car before they turn it over to me. This should be a standard procedure each time your car is worked on by a technician had I not brought the car back when would I have found out about the motor mount was crushed?

BAD SERVICE
Have brought my Escalade ESV in there for both routine service as well as body shop work several times and each time, I receive my car back, they either missed something, broke something else causing me to have to go back over and over and over and over for the same issues. Everyone there is friendly but it is all BS, becuase at the end of the day, they do not live up to their word and no one bothers to check to see that the work is completed satisfactorilly. DO NOT USE THIS DEALER unless you want to see them on a weekly basis and pay lots of money for nothing.
