Maruti service department has been unable to deliver proper service and also damaged my car during the service. On 11th October 2009 I had sent my car for the third free service to your service centre. When the car was received after servicing, not only to find that proper servicing was not done but also the bonnet of the car was badly damaged.
The employees did not make the any repairs to the damage stating that there are no mechanics available to attend to the same for the next two days. As informed by the other employees this damage was done due to improper handling of the car bonnet after servicing. The Bonnet cover was forcefully shut with the prop rod still erected.
I am extremely shocked and disappointed with this kind of service delivery by an authorized Maruti service centre. The car is brand new, purchased in April 2009, and this kind of damage caused to my car due to negligence and callousness of the workers is highly unacceptable.
This is absolutely unprofessional way of treating the customers, who come to the service centre with their vehicles with lot of trust. It is a shame for even the Maruti Company to be associated with such sloppy service standards.
My reason for writing this letter is because the casual attitude of the service centre in handling these vehicles should stop. Even during my second free service, the front side bumper was hit while turning the car within the service centre. This shows that the service centre is running with inexperienced and improficient workers.
