Manufacturing Deect
Re: Maruti Car Swift, Registration No.WB 06 4726, purchased on 12/08/2008 from your authorized dealer, Machino Techno, Kolkata under the Hire Purchase Scheme from HDFC BANK. got damaged due to manufacturing defect.

With reference to the above, I would like to bring to your kind notice with deep heart that while I was driving on 24/11/2008 at 12:00 PM, I suddenly noticed that smoke was coming out from the car over the place inside as well as outside the car, the car was filled up completely with thick smoke, driver and myself was almost suffocating to death, in spite of our repeated trying anxiously, tried to open the door, but the central locking system failed and the doors could not be opened. Somehow with great difficulty, I tried to switch off the car and pulled out the key, in spite of that, the engine was racing with great speed and sound and the smoke was coming with more force inside as well as outside the car. We were almost suffocating to death due the smoke, at that time a huge public as well as police gathered outside and they managed to pull my driver and me out of the car through the window. Police as well as the public, with great difficulty, opened the bonnet of the car and disconnected the battery, then only the engine stopped. In the meantime, we noticed the whole of mechanical parts were burnt out and damaged beyond our imagination. The cooler tank also bursted and diesel and mobil started flowing through the exhaust. Public as well as the police asked us to go away from the car as it might burst and cause damage to human life.

I called up immediately your authorized service dealer ( Motorkrat ), where I normally get my car serviced. After a detailed inspection of the damaged car, they expressed their inability to repair the car as it was damaged beyond the capacity of their expertise and hence they suggested, they would like to send the car to the dealer from where I had purchased. Your will appreciate that there is some serious manufacturing defect due to which this accident took place and this accident could have caused loss of human life and injury to the people on the streets.

For your kind information, I have a very high opinion about your company, as well as your product, we as well as my family and my friends always go in for your branded product for your Goodwill and Service Excellence to the valued customer. Trust you will look into the case very seriously and do the needful immediately without any delay as I am mentally very much depressed and harassed and inconvenienced as I am not able to use my car, because of the accident. Almost everyday, I use my car for more than 100 kilometers for a day. In the absence of the car, I have to spend a lot of money on public transport like taxis and hired cars. And this is also hampering my professional work where I am working as s Senior Executive.

This is all because of Deficiency in Service due to product with manufacturing defect for which you will be held responsible.


Moreover I am really disgusted. I was called by Mr. Amit Adhikary of Machino Techno regarding my car. I am amazed to find out that he is trying to project that the problem was there ealier. wanted to bring to your notice that Mr/. Adhikary inspected the car before taking car. At that point of time my car did not have any issues except some dent and mark.

Now after keeping the car for more that two days he is claiming that my car"s excaust pipe., oil box have broken. I am damm sure that the car was ok when I had given.

If some damage happens when the car is getting repaired thats is not my fault.

More over I have been a loyal customer of maruti since 2001.Nobody till date has not spoken or illbehaved with me that I faced today. When I refused to admit that the damages had not been there, I was told that I should take back my car.

Worst Experience
My Car, Maruti Suzuki Swift LDi with No-DL5CS2929 colour-"White" Model-"2008", is One year old .I have send it 2-3 times for claim to the dealer. Last claim was on 28 August 2009.We are not at all satisfied with the services provided by you people you are not using good quality of paint even dont know how to paint.It was not uniformly painted, the shade of paint was not matching, and after 1 month its white colour becomes dull.Following parts of the car was repaired-Bonet, Front Bumper, Left Side complete, Left door.Diggi and back bumper of the car. I am also having honda civic but I am very happy with the service provided by them they use quality product and give a very good response.But in your center even after call the problem remain same .Now again I have Send my car to the dealer.Kindly see to it .
I am waiting for a reply from your side to confirm that my complaint is not unnoticed.
Please reply as soon as possible.I Will be highly obliged to you

Very Poor Service

SWift Vxi getting Delayed
Dear Sir,

I have booked my Swift Vxi red color at Dhru Motors, Surat, Gujarat. At the time of booking I was commited to get car after one month. I booked car on 29/08/09. And today it is 5/10/09 but still I haven't got the car.
And I am getting same car of same color from another dealer. But he is asking me some extra payment of 25, 000 more to get this car after one day only. So I am not getting in the same city some dealer have car and some dealer doesn't have car after one month also.
Please help me regarding this matter.
Should I continue to go for the same or should I change my decession to purchase Maruti Suzuki car?

BOOKING AMOUNT NOT GETTING REFUNDED
hi,

Have booked an Alto car from new Delhi Allianze dealer in the month of may 2009, but due to non process of my loan the plan got cancelled. from month of may till date i am time and again asking for my refunded but the concerned person and the owner of the allianze are not responding to me.

It is really very disappointig to see that the brand name likr naruti is under going such practices. our expectations are really high from registered dealers of maruti .kindly please take necessary actions and help me to get my refund

In response to your public advt in newspaper in pune i have booked Astar LXI( Silver Silk) on 31.8.09 with a committment of delivery on 28.09.09i.e. Dassera Accordingly till now i have paid a total amount of Rs 3, 50, 581+M 800 car exchange worth Rs 32, 000/- + cash & Corp Disc of 12, 000/-My Customer Id is I092503616.Now it is hard to believe me that today your dealer had informed me that this car is on waiting & will take a 1 month time to deliver due to shortage & thus I am going through a serious mental trauma as this affect me a financial loss for no fault from my side. I request you to kindly look into the matter & arrange for delivery at the earliest as committed to me by your Dealer on my indent for my car from company on 31.8.2009 or to extend the present sheme of cash discount+ Exchange bonus as publically announced by company worth Rs 25000/-as a special case.I would be grateful to you if you could do so, as this had it been informed to me on 31.8.09, i would not have gone for this deal with you.Thanking you sir.

evading to give 10 months back booked and allotted dzire
we booked dzire vdi silver on 13-10-2008 . Dealer Mitra Agencies Place Vijayawada State Andhra Pradesh. people those who booked the vehicle subsequent to me got the vehicle recently . But they are evading me to give the vehicle. we can guess the reasons why they are practicing such type of things . I approached mitra agencies manager he told they cancelled my booking without intimating me about it. he asking me to give fresh booking form and he try to get it but no commitment. I refused to give the fresh booking form because no value for 10 months old booking how can we believe them, since October 2008 we are getting phone calls from central office Delhi Maruti Suzuki marketing people .they are pursuing the position of the booking till now. It is the evidence for my booking. We have to wait and see what action can be taken by Maruti Suzuki people regarding this.

PROBLEM IN BRAND NEW SWIFT SINCE DAY ONE
Sub : - Major complaint from day of purchase of SWIFT LXI Model

Dear Sir,
With reference to the above we inform you that we purchased the above vehicle from SAI SERVICE STATION, Lower Parel, Mumbai and got the delivery on 19/06/2009.

Having got recommendation from few other users and also as per general reports. We preferred to choose a SWIFT Car in comparison to some other models in the Market.

However from ‘Day one’ of Purchase to Date we have faced repeated problems as described below.
a) On the first day of purchase (19/06/2009- Saturday) we heard some noise, each time we applied the brake.
b) On 21/06/2009(Monday) we complained to SAI SERVICE who advised us to send the vehicle for a checkup.
c) On 3rd day 22nd Jun 2009. They informed us that there was a defect in the brake pad which they replaced (receipt attached)
d) After 02 more days on 24/06/2009 the problem recurred, this time the noise was louder.
e) We contacted Mr. Nagesh Beerla at Maruti, Mumbai office
f) Mr. Beerla assured us that he would again have the brake pad / mechanism replaced & check the car in his presence
g) This 2nd replacement was again carried out within 02 days -24/06/2009 (receipt of replacement attached )
h) We were assured that this problem would not arise again (letter attached)
i) However within a fortnight we faced the same problem again
j) We contacted Mr. Beerla at Muruti Suzuki, Mumbai yet another time.
k) Now, we were informed that the brake pad mechanism in our car had been found to be from a defective lot & the new lot would arrive soon .
l) Once again, on 29/07/2009 the New Set BRAKE PAD Mechanism was replaced & car returned to us with full guarantee .

To our Great Surprise & Anguish, the very nest day on 30/07/2009, we found that the brake operation is emitting harsh screeching sound.

This has been checked & verified by Mr. Beerla (Maruti) & Mr. Subhash ( Sr. Works Manager – SAI SERVICE, Mumbai)

We are totally disillusioned, dissatisfied & unhappy with the whole situation.
As is obvious, we made the first mistake in accepting the replacement of an essential spare parts in a brand new Car on the first day itself.

But this was prompted by total faith in product & quality of MARUTI SUZUKI
We now finally believe that this is an inherent problem in the Motor Car itself & we are no longer prepared to accept ‘Experimentation & Research’ on a brand New Car that was bought by us just 3-4 Weeks ago.

WE HAD REQUESTED MARUTI SUZUKI TO KEEP THE CAR AND DO WHAT EVER CHAGES / RECITIFICATION REQUIRED TILL THEY ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE PROBLEM BEEN SOLVED.

DESPITE OF OUR REQUEST AGAIN AND AGAIN, ONLY THE BREAK PADS WERE CHANGED AND FALSE PROMISES WERE GIVEN TO US EACH TIME. YET WE FACE PROBLEM IN THE VEHICLE. THE CAR IS LYING IN MY RESIDENCIAL PARKING LOT UNUSED.

OUR PATIENCE HAS NOW WORN OUT

We attach herewith all the necessary documentary proof to support the above facts.

We feel cheated, disillusioned and totally dis satisfied with the shabby treatment meted out to us by your indian partners.

We purchased your brand because of the much acclaimed good name of MARUTI
SUZUKI...Also because we have excellent experience with OUR OTHER CAR TOYOTA INNOVA ... another japanese colloboration but a vast difference in the attitude and services.

We have sought legal advice & have been advised by our solicitors that NOW after providing 4 separate opportunities to your company ( as Explained above) we have now every right to seek complete Replacement of the vehicle

We are feeling helpless, and before we proceed for any further action we knock
at your door for the last time...HOPE OUR GENIUNE GRIEVANCE IS ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY.

We hope that MARUTI SUZUKI would wish to have one more happy customer & would provide us immediate replacement of the vehicle to provide us relief from our month long anguish.

Poor Services
Dear Sir,

I am an owner of Wagon R, I have sent my Wagon-R for body repair (accidental) purpose to your authorized service provide ONE UP motors at C-16A, Transport Nagar, Kanpur Road - Lucknow. The quality of services are very poor, they have painted right side of my car and left backside scratches as it is, The paint they have sprayed has covered entire right side and front glass, making front view hazy. I have observed the back scratch at the time of delivery which they said, "OK we will do it in next few days" and they left the vehicle with me. When I left my office for home it was raining so I used the wipers I observed that wipers were making a lot of hissing sound (the glass became hazy too) then I came out and swiped my hand on front glass there I felt that a layer of very minute sand is permanently stuck there. I strongly object this kind of services and attitude by Maruti authorized service provider. My car must be in OK condition as soon as possible because it becomes difficult to drive in night due to haziness of front glass. It is raining season here and any time I may meet an accident due to this haziness. I have paid Rs.1003.00 vide invoice no. BR09001907 dt. 20/07/2009. EXTRAORDINARY DELAY IN DELIVERY OF SX-4
Dear Mr. Khattar,
I booked a maruti suzuki sx4 zxi(plus) black colour on 31/05/2009 and made full payment on 16/06/2009. I was promissed the delivery of the car within a week but even after 44 days of booking and making full payment maruti company as well as concerned dealer failed to give me a concrete date for delivery leave aside the actual delivery. If this is the state of affairs in then why should one even consider of buying maruti suzuki products. I tried on your customer care no. 18001800180 but again no satisfactory reply. Now option left with me is to take my money back and go for other cars like Honda City where a better treatment with the customer is expected. But because I have been using Maruti car for more than 10 years, so I want to give you another chance to fulfill your commitment. But be assured that if I do not get the delivery within a week then I will simply take my money back and never think about maruti in future.
