Awful company
I took my car to *** Masheter Quick Lane on Hamilton Rd in Columbus, OH on a Friday night to have it detailed- which cost $150 (detailing included having the convertible stop cleaned of stains) and to have my front tires assessed for why they were balding after being bought brand new just 9months prior and initially aligned at this same Quick Lane, my appt was for 8am on Saturday morning. I called Saturday @ 2pm for an update, was told the camber was off and they would have to take the car to the body shop to see if the under car damaged that happened a couple years ago was the reason for the camber being off, I would not be able to pick my car up until Monday. I called Monday afternoon and spoke with Shane (apparently a manager) and he told me the tow was off, when asked why he said he had no idea. I asked if the body shop found any reason for the camber to be off, he states the car never had to go to the body shop, it was the tow that was off, I requested clarification but Shane was pretty rude and unhelpful, so I stated I would just talk to someone when I got there. Long story short, I look at my car and there are new grease stains on the driver side seat and door, there is dog hair on the ceiling, stains untouched on the top, trunk wasn't cleaned at all. Shane was just as unhelpful and disrespectful in person as he was on the phone, no explanation for camber vs tow being off, why car just had to go to body shop and be there the whole weekend, then all of a sudden didn't. Shane did confirm they did not re-align the car. My car was taken back and grease removed, then initial attempts were made to clean stain off top which were unsuccessful. After about an 1 1/2hr I was able to take my car home, as soon as I pulled out of the parking the lot the engine was making a new, loud noise, I brought it back, one employee states they got chemicals on the belt when they were detailing the engine, was aware of the sound and still aloud me to take the car, after they attempted to "clean off the belt" without relief of sound, Shane states belt needs to be replaced and asked when can I bring the car back, when I asked him if it would be safe to drive he stated "I don't have crystal ball, I don't know what to tell you." When asked if there was a car I could drive while belt being fixed he stated no, that was when I asked him to call someone who might actually help me. He made a call, but soon said I could come back Tuesday and borrow a car then, so I went to leave and the hood was up, I tried to put the hood down but it wouldn't latch, apparently they had broke the hood latch too! I finally went to the sales man I bought the car from and he did make everything OK, I have no beef with *** Masheter Ford, just the quick lane. So the moral of this story is Shane was the most UNHELPFUL, DISRESPECTFUL *** that I have ever had to deal with, and none of my vehicles will ever be put through the punishment of going to the quick lane on hamilton rd.
