And yet another complaint against Massage Envy...they just don't get it, they don't respond, they don't try to improve, they don't care! Where do I start...I sign up for a membership and completed my 1 year contract. I attempted to cancel, but was talked into putting on vacation status, it started up again in six months. After another year I I lost my job again and put it on vacation again. However, at the end of that 6 months, my father passed away, I had knee replacement surgery and was still not working. It just so happened that my credit card on file expired and ME couldn't start charging me again. They called a few times, however with my fathers death and rehabbing from surgery...massages were not a high priority. Two months later they called to tell me that I needed to make all payments or they would send it to collections. I talked to them 2 or 3 times and tried to work out an agreement...they wouldn't budge. Two weeks later they sent it to collections. I have filed a complaint with the BBB of KS, and ME didn't respond for several months, when they did, the merely said I owed the money.
I contacted them to see if I paid the 3 months of payments, could I let someone else use the massages as I couldn't because of my surgery. They said I owed the 3 months and the collection charges and I would have to open my account again, and could transfer 1 massage every 6 months and it would cost $10!!! Why are they allowed to continue with theses business practices? They are a rip off, they DO NOT focus on their customer, they only want your money! STAY AWAY FROM THE MASSAGE ENVY IN LENEXA, KS!!!
