Unauthorized charges
Match.com - dating online service
I enrolled match.com for 3 months to give it a try, I started the subscription on 05/29/07.
On 8/27/09 they charged my account for an additional 3 months, this charge was unauthorized and there was no courtesy email to remind me of renewing my subscription. I find this very unprofessional, and who can tell me that they won't make any other unauthorized charges when they feel like it (seems this company has such power over my own checking account) -it's ridiculous. I requested immediate cancellation of my subscription on 09/03/07 (when I became aware of this), and I received an email that they have a "no refund policy". So basically they can take when they want and no be accountable??? Will appreciate someone's help on this.

6mo guarantee is a rip off!
I joined match.com to find my last true love, i joined for 6months, with a 6mo guarantee. After my 6months where up, i didn't get my 6mo free, i followed all there rules, i notified them of the problem, i even wrote the president of match.com, still they have not kept there word, my advice to people thinking of joining match.com is find a site that keeps there word & has customer service people that take care of the customer. I think match.com is running a racket! Don't join!

Unauthorized charges on my credit card
There were two unauthorized charges on my credit card from this company. One was for sign up to subscribe for match making and second one was the monthly recurring charge to keep up the account. Fortunately we caught it and told them to refund it. But they would not reveal who created the account and they sounded like this happens very common with their company.

Unethical business practices
This website has significant issues including but not limited to; unauthorized sharing of secured information such as personal email address, unstable database &/or interface, poor or non-existent tech support, dishonest customer service, poor load times for pages, inconsistent views, dysfunctional features such as favorites, blocking other member, and visibility or invisibility of profile. Most insulting of all, they accept advertising and member fees, and offer absolutely no ability to acquire a refund. Don't waste money or time with this website.

Cancellation impossible!
I have been trying for over 2 weeks to cancel my subscription to Match.com with AOL.. there is no way to contact them. Their contact page only gives you options of cancelling or signing up for AOL and has nothing to do with Match.com
Also, I signed up 1 month ago and clicked on try 5 free days... instead my account was charged the approximately $30.00,,, because I gave up trying to figure out how to reach them, I stuck with it for the 30 days.
What a rip off... If I'm charged for another month, I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau.
