Sets You Up For Failure
Having been a Match.com customer for awhile I can honestly comment that I have met many men to date, but they have set me up for failure. They have technical issues. I can't say they are doing this on purpose and I have reported it several times but it has not be addressed. It's frustrating when you start dating someone on the site and after dating them for many months they want to know why you are always "signed in". I can understand why they might be upset and although I can honestly say that I did stop looking at other profiles after we started dating, but the site keeps signing me in none the less! I lost my last boyfriend off the site to this, but I think my present boyfriend, from the site believes me. Still they're going to "blow it" for me if they don't stop signing me in. Putting the auto-sign in on "off", and hiding my profile didn't work. I get the feeling that they don't want me to succeed. The technical issue to watch for in that if you should open "any" of their email to your address, you will get logged in and remain signed in so check that.

Cannot log in
I tried to log into my account several times (5) without success. I rechecked my username and password, and even checked "forgot my password" to get a reply via email. They informed me that my username and password were the same ones I had tried earlier...I returned to their site, and tried again...Try # 6 with MY CORRECT username and password, and I STILL COULD NOT log into MY account, for which I am being charged.

unauthorized billings
They have an auto-renewal system that immediately recharges your credit card for the same package you had previously purchased. However, they do send an email notification of the renewal charges, so if you go ONE DAY over their period, they insist on charging for the entire period. This is what I consider poor customer service and fraudulent behavior on their part. With so many free on-line dating sites, people should really REALLY take their business elsewhere.

fraud
I man I met on match.com in mid January is part of an on line dating fraud. His name posted is Caleb Smith from Newtown, PA He told me he was on business in Ghana West Africa and would be back in the states in 3 week.s
We were emailing everyday almost. He appeared to be sincere and charming. He had lost his luggage on his
flight so he ordered some clothes from Dillards in CA and asked me to send them to him after he had them sent to my home address. Unfortunately I did do that. now he is telling me he had to have emergency surgery there
and asked me to wire him $1000.00 for his hospital bill and medication. My story is very similar to other fraud stories I have read on line.

Cancellation of account
My account was canceled after what was explained to me as suspicious activity, however the customer rep was very rude and did not help me get to the bottom of my problem at all. I was given an email address for complaints to contact and here I am now...NO assistance. This practice is unprofessional and I would like it addressed immediately.

Unauthorized billing
I canceled my subscription using their online cancellation service, 3 weeks prior to my renewal date. After the renewal date they billed me for another 6-month subscription. I called them and told them what happened, and they promptly canceled my subscription and issued a refund.

six month guarantee is a scam
The six month guarantee marketed by match.com is a scam and false advertising. The criteria is never made obvious. when you can to complain the offer you a discount on a renewal. Do I here class action. They need to be stopped.
