While driving around Westchester I saw signs for Singles in Westchester. I decided to call the number listed and was connected to Meet Over Drinks. I met with Luella Lusk- Balint in mid Septemeber, 2009. I felt comfortable with the location and had an 1 hour 1/2 interview and photo session with Luella. The problems started a week later. First of all, I was told it would take approximately 2 to 3 days for a background check. On the third day, I received my first match and emailed and called Luella to state that this person did not match my profile. I called several times for a month with no response. It was to the point that the receptionist knew my name, office, home and cellular phone numbers by heart but no one ever called me back or responded to my emails from that office. In November, I received a call from the Connecticut office from Elizabeth Ryan who said she would redefine my search request. The next month I received the same referrals that I had declined. I then sent a certified letter cancelling with the service.
I disputed the charges and only received a refund from my bank. Unfortunately, my credit card company refuses to refund the money. I now have an open case with the Attorney General's Office. The BBB closed my case because they could not locate the company. They have closed up shop and moved on to fraud another unsuspecting single person looking for a decent mate. BUYER BEWARE IS MY NEW MOTTO but I am going to contact [email protected] regarding joining their class action suit.
