I was employed through a daycare in Newberry FL . A step Ahead Enrichment and upon getting hired I was asked by my boss ELaine Wastson to fill out the Matrix forms for payroll because that was the company they used to do payrool. I never spoke to Matrix until a week and a half after I was fired a received a letter in the mail stating that I was a leased employee of Matrix . This was a total shocker to me. I was then asked to submitt the doctors note because I was fired because my daughter was sick and could not attend daycare, as per state guidelines. I sent the doctors not and also filled out Re-assignment form as requested. I called back the following week only to get hung up and laughed at, followed by Verbal discrimination.I was told that "due to me being a single mother with no family that I was unemployable. " by Melissa Ashe the companies VP, she also preceeded to tell me that the reason I never was permitted to take my breaks and Lunches is that the State of FLorida did not require me to have them. This company Violated me on many different levels and treated me as if I was a piece of trash because I was a single mom. I just want to work and provide for my kids an with the deceptive companies such as Matrix that is taking advantage of the single mother trying to provide for their children is wrong and umerited . They must be stopped . I must be allowd to have equal rights to be able to work and obtain work as a single mother, instead of being vicitmized because they know that we have enough battles we wont be able to fight this one!! PLEASE SOME HELP!!! I need to be able to provide for my children I am their only provider .I receive no support for them in any way and I just want a fair chance for all of us Single mothers who are doing the best we can with limited resources and discrimination based on marital status and family background. or lack there of .
