The owner's son is very rude, obnoxious, and threatening to customers. He gambles with customers surrounding him and cusses (cock____, mf, etc.), accuses/insinuates that people steal money that he supposedly leaves sitting around after admitting that he spent his entire paycheck gambling. When confronted openly, he pretends that he said that he misplaced or lost money and that no one stole it, especially when told to check surveillance tapes for proof. He personally insults and threatens customers that he feels does not spend enough money even when with family members who spend quite a bit. He tells customers that he has more money than they do so there is nothing that you can do. He cannot accept intellectual retaliation. If the customer stands up for their rights, he feels that he can say he is "Mattingly's" and throw them out. I have not seen such psychotic and abusive behavior from a business owner. His father (the owner) needs to control this man's actions if he cannot be responsible for his own for everyone's safety and well being.
The atmosphere is not clean according to restaurant standards (the bathrooms are dirty and full of paper towels, carpeting is unclean, etc.). However, the food is pretty good. Too bad the owner's son has not learned that there is life outside of Mattingly's and that other people own businesses or work in real world environments that do not involved throwing away their paycheck and mocking innocent people.
