Service stinks
Mavis was a good company when they first opened. Tires at a good price. Now you go in for tires and they come over to you with a list of things that they say your car needs. They call it a "Safety Check" I call it a fleecing of your pockets. My truck was at my service station that I use and was shown that there was a bubble on my tire and it should be replaced so they can finish the due inspection. I said to my mehcanic that I will bring it to Mavis because I have purchased tires from them several times with good results. Well not this time. the so called mehcanic came over with a list of things that were wrong with my truck. I said to him "I came in for tires not an safety inspection" And then he got pissed off at me that I questioning his knowledge. I trust my mehcanic, he's a family friend, and if I thought he was wrong I have two family members that are mehcanics. Sell tires they good at that, now they just want to rip you off.

Damaged my rims
I purchased 3 new tires from Mavis in NY before driving back to my home in Montana. Within 24 hours the front left tire was low. I suspected they did not mount it correctly. Since I was traveling across the US, I stopped once or twice a day and put air in it. When I arrived home I took the rim and tire to my local Pro Tire and they told me that whoever had mounted the new tire cracked my rim and it could not be repaired. When I contacted the Manager at the Peekskill store, I was told that it was my "misfortune" for not still being in NY where they could see the rim. I took pictures and sent them to the District office. A man by the name of Joel took my compliant, but insisted that they did nothing wrong. I had also taken the rim and tire to another company locally, Tire Rama, and they also told me that the damage was done by whom ever mounted the tire. Joel was rude, unprofessional and would not let me speak on the phone. He interrupted me, spoke over me, and mocked me like I was an idiot. He kept saying the rim was rusted and pitted, but I live on a red dirt road and I did not clean the rim before taking the picture so that he could see the fresh, new damaged marks on it for himself. There are long scratches, hammer marks and bent spots along the edge from the tech trying to "fix" the damage he did.
These people ruined an Infinity rim for my car and refuse to repair or replace it. Now I can not drive my car until I find a new or used rim. I am still trying to see what I can do about them replacing or repairing my rim.
