Maximum Automotive is a garage, located at1301 state road 60e, lake wales, fl. 33898. my complaint is that they contracted to put a used motor in my 1995 gmc jimmy, they purchased the motor through their vendor, and after they installed the motor, even before they let me have it, they determined the motor was no good.i was led to believe, that they would put another motor in at no additional cost, but now i'm being told that they are charging me one half of the labor cost of the install and then an additional charge of 19 hours at seventy five dollars an hour.iwas told in the beginning that they charge 60 dollars an hour. anyway i refused their charges, i offered them one half of the labor cost and 100.00 dollars for the bad motor just so i could possibly take it else where or trade it off. he is holding my truck and one of his last comments to me was that after thirty days he would get a junk title for it and sell it for junk. i don't know what my rights are in this matter, his mechanic told me that they had bought bad motors from this vendor before, i believe they knowing this should have checked the motor out before installing it in my truck instead of waiting until it was installed, they could have done this by pulling the oil pan off and inspected the bearings and crank shaft, which they are telling me they are bad due to the motor sitting for a long period of time.the owners name is mark waterman, his mechanic's name is brian, which is mark;s brother.
