Complaint Description:
ON MARCH 9, 2009 I VISITED MAY'S TRAVEL IN OAKLAND. I SPOKE WITH MAY REGARDING TO PRICES ON FLIGHT TICKETS TO CHINA AND VISA FEES. SHE WAS ON THE COMPUTER SEARCHING FOR FLIGHTS TO CHINA SHE TOLD ME THERE ARE NO FLIGHTS AVAILABLE AND SHE WILL NEED TO GET BACK TO ME. SHE ALSO EXPLAIN TO ME SHE WILL NEED 300.00 DEPOSIT. THE DEPOSIT IS ONLY USED WHEN BOOKING THE FLIGHT TICKETS. NOT HEARING FROM HER I CALLED AND ASK WHETHER ANY FLIGHTS AVAILABLE SHE SAID NO. A WEEK HAD PAST I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HER I CALLED AGAIN AND ASK SHE REPEATEDLY SAID NO. ON MAY 16, 2009 I DECIDED TO CALL A DIFFERENT AGENCY AND SEE MY LUCK. I CONTACTED ANOTHER TRAVEL AGENCY AND I WAS HAPPY THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE FLIGHT TICKETS THE SAME DAY WHEN I WAS THERE. ON THE SAME DAY I CONTACTED MAY'S TRAVEL AND ASK IF SHE FOUND ANY FLIGHT TICKETS SHE SAID AGAIN NO I THEN TOLD HER I WILL NO LONGER NEED HER SERVICE I TOLD HER I CONTACTED A DIFFERENT AGENCY AND THEY GOT THE TICKETS THE SAME DAY FOR ME I TOLD HER PLEASE RETURN MY 300.00 DEPOSIT SINCE SHE HAD NEVER BOOKED ANY FLIGHTS FOR ME. ON MAY 21, 2009 I RECEIVED A STATEMENT FROM MY BANK THAT THE CHECK WAS CASHED. I WAS VERY SHOCKED. THIS IS VERY WRONGFUL DOING, I NEVER SIGN ANY AGREEMENT. THE DEPOSIT WAS ONLY USED WHEN A FLIGHT IS BOOKED WHICH IT NEVER HAPPEN. I CALLED AND SPOKE WITH HER PERSONALLY OVER THE PHONE REGARDING TO THE DEPOSIT SHOULD BE RETURN TO ME. SHE WENT AHEAD AND DID WHAT SHE SHOULDN'T. SHE HAS VIOLATED THE LAW AND COMMITTED A THEFT AND FRAUD.
