The worst service
RE: Maytag model# MTW5700TQ, serial# CT4945337

I purchased this washer in April, 2007 as a gift for one of my dearest friends. A month later(May 7, 2007), my friend called me and told me the washer was not working properly. I called the dealer where I purchased, and they came out for check and told me that the motor and pump are broken for some reason. They said that it will be covered with 1 year factory warranty, and they offered that they will call for service. A couple of days later, I received a phone call from dealer and saying that the parts will be delivered to my friend's address, and the service people from A&E Factory will be there for repair. But the parts had never delivered and another phone call from dealer said that the parts were delivered to the wrong address by accident. They said that they already made a complain to A&E Factory, and I should wait for a couple more days. I had to talk to my friend about it and told my friend the same thing that I heard. Then about a month later, June 4, 2007, I received another phone call from dealer and said that it's still not ready and at that point they wanted to hand the ball to myself. I called A&E Factory on 6/4/07, and they were telling me that service is little more postponed because the parts were not ready yet, however, the service will be done by 6/7/07, in between 8 am and 12 pm. I also confirmed once again on 6/6/07 with A&E Factory, and over the phone I heard from A&E Factory that the service men will be there for repair service WITH the parts. And I told my friend to stay in home all morning to wait for service. Then what happened? Noone showed up.

6/7/07, around 2 pm, I found out that noone from A&E Factory showed up to my friend's place. I called A&E Factory again, and they were asking me if I(my friend) receive the parts. I told the operator what has been going on, and even the confirmation call I made a day before. The operator said there is nothing she can do about it at that point but just re-order the part once again. I felt doomed and I just became a hopeless. I couldn't even call my friend because I really didn't know what to say. Such a gigantic appliance company, Maytag and their one of main service company A&E Factory only could do this much. Why? Because my friend and I are just some small individuals? Because we are a minority? Do they really care what the customer/consumer need and want? This is the biggest disappointment in my life, and on the top of it, I don't know what I should or need to do from now on.
