Loud Knocking

Whenever the refrigerator/freezer is running I get a very loud knocking sound. I can hear the compressor turn off and then it starts to quiet down and then stops making noise within seconds. Does everyone else with an ICE2O have the same problem or is mine just faulty?

FYI, I also had the ice maker break in the first 3 months of purchase in March 2006 and it was replaced quickly.

Flapping ice door and flashing lights!

I bought my Maytag Ice2O from Home Depot 16 months ago. I have never before bought an extended warranty but did get one in this case, as because the fridge was so expensive. I am so happy that I did!!!!

Yesterday the light panel went crazy and the ice door started flapping incessantly. We are two adults and have two small children and two dogs... and no fridge or freezer in a 105 F Degrees Florida summer.

I was guessing that it was the mother board and have been confirmed reading the many many many similar complaints here. Home Depot will be out to repair in two weeks (pending parts).

And to think... my old fridge was $200 at a junk sale and not only did it work... it could crush ice!!!

Ugh... I just hate it when I get ripped off!
