I purchased a Maytag range July 2009 the first time I cleaned the oven, the top of the door turn yellow 'they replaced the top of the door and the gasket.That was June 2010, Jan. 2011 I cleaned the oven and the botton of the oven cracked. Maytag said it was no longer under warranty even though it is defective .I checked the oven temp, it runs about 60 degrees over the set temp.this is a defective stove.Maytag does not stand behind there products.

I have a four month old stove, and the paint on the handle is bubbling and chipping off. Now I paid full price for this thing, at a local appliance store. For a month I tried to get in touch with Maytag, sent them proof of purchase, waited on hold countless times, then a rude man says "we don't cover cosmetic items" For a stove I bought in October? Are you kidding? So all the paint can chip off your appliances a few days after you buy them and you are just out of luck? POOR warranty. I am ripping the stove out, and returning it to the store. Never will I buy Maytag again.

My Maytag refrigerator, model # MSD2434GEW is 5 years old.

There is a recall on the relay switch that shuts off the compressor. I was not notified of this recall and as a result my house almost burned down. I awoke to the house filled with the smell of burnt plastic.

The relay failed and, as a result, it melted the switch and all of the wires to the compressor.

Maytag's customer service department leaves a lot to be desired also.

Trying to get hold of someone to come and look at your refrigerator is a joke.

My husband spent 6 hours on the phone trying to get a repairman. He talked to 30 different people and was hung up on 30 times. It was very frustrating.

Needless to say, my refrigerator is fixed. It only took a week (ha-ha) and I had to throw out all of my food.

I will never again buy a Maytag anything and would not recommend them to anyone.

I have had a plumber out twice and the Maytag service man once. They both said that all newer washing machines have bigger water pumps and empty the water too fast for most 2" drains to handle and that I would have to clean my drain very often or replace it with a 3" drain.

If I would have known this I would never bought a new Maytag.

I would advise anyone who is thinking about a new washing machine to keep his old machine as long as possible or be prepared to pay a plumber very often.

We bought a Maytag Frontloading Washer just 3 years ago for over $1000 Thinking it would last and now it is ruined. It stopped working and I called a repairman (another over $100 bill) and he said there was a tear in the flimsy liner which allowed water into the electrical parts of the machine and ruined the expensive computerized parts. Not worth fixing.

I used to pay $50 for used washing machines which would last about 5 years then I'd buy another. Maytag is junk!!
