Awful service
I called Maytag Warranty for repair of my washer. Was not given a claim number and was told I will be notified. I waited over a day for a call. I called Maytag back again and was told to make my own service call. I called the company I was told to call and they said it would be over a week before a service person could be here. I have a house full of kids and being out of a washer for over a week is unsat. I had a problem a couple months ago with the washer and called and had service the next day. I called Maytag back and requested another service company and was told they cannot do, that the one assigned is it.I requested a supervisor and was refused with some lame excuse..I called another service unit that could be here tomorrow then I told them the claim number and they said can't do because Maytag has assigned a company to repair. I called Maytag again and was told they will send an email to somewhere within the company and ask them to assign another repair company. If I have to wait over a week for service when there are two companies here that can service the machine this week, then I see a cancellation after this repaid...

Sometimer dishwasher
Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7100AWB, serial # 27402314AE only works occassionaly. Repair technician came to house Thursday and states there is a need to replace control panel and face plate at a cost that we could use to buy a new one. What has happen to reliability of maytag products. Not complaining for we have gotten good service but when you need it the most and does not work. Thanks

Maytag microwave
I called Maytag to set up an appt. for my microwave that was not working and they referred me to ANE Factory service. They told me it would be 70.00 for a service call but they would wave it if I got the microwave repaired and that I would only have to pay for parts and labor. I would have to pay the 70.00 if I chose not to get it repaired. They told me a Wed. between 8-5 which in my opinion is a long range, so I took a day off for the tech to come out, 4:45 rolls around and the tech calls and says he is on his way out, he wants to confirm the price with me and says 70.00+ parts and labor, I told him, I was told by ANE that they would waive that 70.00 if I got the microwave repaired and he said no, you still have to pay the 70.00 regardless. So now I've been misled, its 4:45 and Ive lost a days of work, I told him to forget it dont even come out, Im not playing that game, I called Maytag to complain, they said they would pay for parts if I rescheduled, I agreed to it and they would make the appt with ANE, Wed. a week later is my appt day, I call to confirm my appt.the day before with ANE and they say I have no appt with them for tomorrow, I call Maytag and they say I do in there system so they call ANE and get back with me and say I do, so I call ANE again and they say I do have an appt now. (WHATEVER) so Wed. another day Ive had to take off of work to wait for ANE to show. 5:00 comes and no tech has called me, nothing, so I call ANE and they said the appt is rescheduled for Friday, Im going, "what the @#$%^&*()"? Are you kidding me? Its 5:00, 2nd day of work Ive missed and no tech has showed or called to tell me they need to reschedule????? I could have had a new microwave by now with the 2 days of work I missed. I called Maytag to talk to a manager, the agent disconnected me, my blood is boiling!!! I call again and talk to a manager, they say they will pay for parts and labor to make up for it and they will get someone out on a Sat. - well why didn't they give me that person to begin with because ANE could only come out on Wed or Fri (I work those days) Im absolutly livid with ANE and would not recommend them to anyone unless you want to be misled and lose a few day of work for nothing, they don't care and its the worst service ANE should stand for absolute no effort!!!

Refrigerater Fire
Refg. started on fire June 1st 2006. Paid $109 to get it fixed. At the time tried to get Maytag to reinburse me but they would not.
Now they have a recall and replaced the same exact part on the recall fix and still will not pay for the fire fix. Sincerly J Brochtrup

Washing machine
Maytag Legacy Series washing machine SAV15DEWW purchased in August 2004. In 4 1/2 years, the motor hub bearing and seal have gone out 3 times. Once under factory warranty, once under extended warranty I paid extra for, and now it is out again with no warranty.

Buyer Beware of Maytag products! There are just too many complaints regarding quality, service, and the fact they WILL NOT back their product. Spend a little extra and get an applicance that will last more than a few years. Maytag and Whirlpool are the two most complained on appliance makers I have found.

broken Maytag washing machine
Two years ago my husband and I bought a Maytag washing machine fr0m Home Depot in Blue Ridge, GA for which we paid well over $500 for at the time. However, after about a years service I began to notice that many times the spin cycle did not clear all of the water out of the clothes and sometimes it seemed that the final rinse cycle was out of whack. Then, on Thursday February 5th, 2009 I loaded some clothes into the machine and switched it on. Immediately, water began to pour out from the bottom of the machine. I immediately hit the "big button" and turned off the machine but the water continued to pour out of the bottom of the machine. We called a repairman and he told us that he didn't repair Maytags because they were often too expensive to repair but checked ours anyway for a service fee of $55.00. Upon examination, it was discovered that the outer wall of the machine had a hole in it and to repair the machine would cost us nearly $350.00 or more. Needless to say, we felt we really had no choice but buy a new machine. I am sure at this point you can safely assume we did not buy another Maytag.

Repair
I purchased a Maytag Gas Range in May of 2007 and it has yet to work properly. It is not calibrated properly, it heats up 25 degrees higher than whatever temperature you set it for, the burners will not go to a low setting either. When it was under warrenty they came out and could not repair it. I now have an extended warrenty with GE, what a mistake that was... they have been out 5 times and have not fixed it yet. Now they are claiming that after this next service call they will not come back out.

I called Maytag to let them know the problems I was having with their product and they did not care since I was not under their warrenty any longer.

Can anyone help?

Refrigerator MSD2756GE
I purchased a Maytag refigerator MSD2756GE in 2003. Two years ago the hose to the ice maker leaked. The water went under the hardwood floor and ruined 50 sq. ft of flooring. I removed the cabinet that surrounds the refrigerator and had the flooring replaced. I also installed a stainless steel line to the ice maker. I installed tile under the refrigerator to prevent it from happening again. I thought that if water should leak again it would run off the tile and would be seen easier, as before the water just went uder the flooring. I thought my problems were over. Yesterday we noticed the floor copping and water stains. I pulled otu the refrigerator and found the water hoses going from the water valves to the back of frige were breaking down. The plastic was actually deteriorating, causing water to leak again. I have to replace the flooring again plus the water got under the tile and they are loose. I am sure I have no recourse with Maytag exept to never buy another Maytag.

Bad service
3 Year Old high end french door refrigerator used gently and compressor goes. Maytag 1-2 weeks on turnaround time to repair warantee work. Will not buy again.

Broken washing machine
A & E Factory Repair company was scheduled to repair my Maytag washing machine on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 between the hours of 1pm to 5pm. Around 3pm A & E called and canceled and no explanation was given to me. A & E rescheduled the repair for today, Thursday, December 4, 2008 and the hours were 8am to 12pm. No technician came out nor did one called. I called at 11:10 to see if the technician was on the way. I was told that he was running late and that he would call me to inform me as to when he will be coming. I called back at 1:l10, 4:08 and was given the same story. At 4:22 I knew that no one was coming out, so out of frustration I called A & E and asked if they would extend courteously and send a technician out tomorrow morning to repair my washing machine especially due to the fact that they didn't come out on Wednesday nor today--- but I was told NO.
A & E is very unreliable, undependable, discourteous. And they don't care for there customers in the Bronx.
